Can a Mace of Disruption destroy a Flameskull?? Under the description for Mace of Disruption it reads:
If the target has 25 hit points or fewer after taking this damage, it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed.
But one of the powers of the Flameskull is Eldritch Rejuvenation which reads:
A flameskull’s shattered fragments reform unless they are splashed with holy water or subjected to a dispel magic or remove curse spell.
So assuming a Mace of disruption scores a hit on a flameskull that meets the 25HP and under requirement and the creature fails it's saving throw,, can it rejuvenate in an hour? Or how "destoyed" is the skull via the Mace's destruction, is there anything left to reform?
I can see an argument going either way. Anyone know if this has been addressed? I tried to find an answer and was unsuccessful .

The Mace doesn't stipulate that it interrupts a creature's out of combat abilities. Only that it can force a save if the undead creature it hits is at or under 25 HP. Since the Mace doesn't count as Holy Water or dispel magic or remove curse, the Flameskull should regenerate after the hour if nothing else is done.
You need to consider the full text of Flameskull Rejuvenation trait.
"Rejuvenation. If the flameskull is destroyed, it regains all its hit points in 1 hour unless holy water is sprinkled on its remains or a dispel magic or remove curse spell is cast on them."
The very first clause in the ability's description answers your question. The Mace of Disruption procs and destroys the Flameskull. Then the Flameskull Rejuvenation trait triggers and if holy water, dispel magic, or remove curse aren't used on the remains within an hour then it reforms and regains all its hit points.

Thanks for the answers, like I said I can see it either way and the reason I question whether it can rejuvenate is the bolded part I've quoted:
SHATTERED FRAGMENTS
Does the Mace's ability to DESTROY undead leave any fragments to reform? It can be argued that if something is destroyed there are no fragments left to reform. It certainly is in the spirit of what a Mace of Disruption is designed to do. I also understand it can be argued that something can be seen to be destroyed can still leave behind fragments and thus without the holy water, dispel or remove curse, the flameskull is back in an hour.
Appreciate the feedback, was hoping WoTC had possibly addressed it in a Sage Advice or errata post somewhere to get a definitive answer.
What you're quoting is flavor text. The RAW is the wording in the statblock, which says nothing about fragments and references the exact same term "destroyed" as the Mace. You won't find a Sage Advice about it because there's not a lot of room for interpretation here.
That being said, the lore and intent behind the Mace of Disruption definitely follow the same "bane of the undead" vibe as holy water, so it would be a very reasonable houserule to add it to the list of things that prevent the rejuvenation. But RAW it does not work.

A good book and a cup of tea.

Yes. I don't see anything in the Mace of Disruption preventing a Flameskull's Rejuvenation.
