A warforged is an artificial construct brought to life through science and magic. So far, I have only seen human looking warforged. What if someone wanted to make a Minotaur, or a kenku, is there a way to combine the attributes of an established race and make it a warforged? Or does a warforged only get warforged stats regardless of whatever races it decides to emulate?

EX- would an Aarakocra warforged get Flight?

EX- would a Bugbear warforged get Long Limbed?

EX- would a Dwarf warforged get Darkvision?

Warforged are just that. There are no "emulated" species. You can however let your warforged look like whatever you like, no mechanical benefits for that.

Warforged is its own race, it doesn't emulate anyone. And thus they only get what is in the Warforged description.

If you want to flavour your looks then go ahead (DM permitting) but, as Voras said, there would be no mechanical benefit from it.

You put a Yugo engine in a Ferrari body, it’s still a Yugo engine. Like others said you keep the Warforged stats but change the body how you like

Warforged are their own species. They are not emulated humans.
