Shillelagh says you can wisdom in place of strength so I imagine that you can use rage while using shillelagh and since it’s bludgeoning you could grab the one feat that uses +1con, allowing the crusher feat to be both offensive and defensive. (Example. It gives offensive options and it gives +1 con that ups AC). The question is, is does this work?
Yes, you can have Shillelagh up while you rage, but you only add your extra Rage Damage to attacks that use your Strength, so you might not want to use your Wisdom to make melee attacks. Yes Crusher can be both offensive and defensive for a barbarian, but only if you have an odd numbered Constitution. A ability modifier goes up on the even numbers, so if you have a Constitution of 15 and add +1 to get to 16, your modifier will go up from +2 to +3, but if you have a Constitution of 14 and add +1 your modifier will not change.

Canto alla vita alla sua bellezza ad ogni sua ferita ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!
Reckless Attack is also only for Strength rolls. While you can technically function as a non-STR barbarian, you'd probably be more effective with something like Fighter or Ranger as a melee fighter that uses Shillelagh.
You misunderstand my aim. This isn’t melee fighter of any repute, I found one level of Barbarian is a great base for any spell caster and I was exploring wisdom based casters at the time I was suggesting this. Barbarian with their con based unarmored that builds AC and concentration is a happy dip, especially for a sorcerer. Right now, I didn’t go that route but I appreciate the words of advice.

I see what you are going for. The biggest problem I see with it is how MAD (multiple ability dependant) it is. You need 13 STR to multiclass, DEX and CON for AC, and your spellcasting ability.
It may not be as big a deal if you are rolling stats, but if you are using point buy or standard array, you will have a hard time maxing your spellcasting while also having an unarmored AC over 15. You might actually be better off with mage armor
You could dip barbarian for that 10+con+dex. Alternatively you could play Lizardfolk for that 13+dex or a tortle for a 14+con. If you are looking for natural armor I'd get it from race rather then multi-class into barbarian. Just because as a mage you won't invest in both Constitution and Dex, so a Tortle with 14+con seems the best bet as you wont have enough DEX to match the base 14.

A Tortle has 17 natural AC. It is not based on an ability. A loxodon has 12+CON. That is closest to what you are describing.
Due to the fo wording I thought that the Race Variant one was for characters and the other one would be for npcs/monsters. Thank you for the correction. However with an AC of 17 the comment still holds ground as it would probably still be higher then 10+con+dex for a wizard with a 1 level barbarian dip. Now there's 3 alts instead of 2.
I was thinking no dex or 10 dex, all constitution, it’s not optimized but I am a role player playing a spell caster. I think I threw out the baby with the bath water and said bring on the challenges.
Thanks for the luxodon suggestion, that helps me skip Barbarian all together.

I don't own the Tortle Package so my information on them comes from outside sources.
