Traits
Devil's Sight. Magical darkness doesn't impede the devil's darkvision.
Magic Resistance. The devil has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Actions
Multiattack. The devil makes three attacks: two with its claws and one with its sting.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage.
Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 17 (5d6) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Bro this thing has stats for days. Slightly more wise and intelligent than the average human, and then every other stat most people couldn't dream of. It's resistant to most types of damage, and immune to the others. Its attacks could knock any low level character unconscious in a matter of maybe two rounds, and that stinger is something else, man. You'd have to roll insanely high to even hit it, let alone kill it. this thing is a pain, to say the least. Definitely a worthy challenge for mid to high level adventurers, especially in high numbers.
A level 7 warlock one shot this with a 300 damage homebrew cantrip i dont know what to think anymore
What did the summoner variant summon again?
I mean.. it’s a CR 9. Lvl 7s shouldn’t be anywhere near this thing.
Im playing a barbarian who smokes the devils lettuce, then turns into a bone devil
I am making a tiefling variant that's an offspring of this!
My Tiefling Paladin (lawful Evil) sold his soul to Zariel and she rewarded me with 50,000 GP a scimitar of speed and one of these Bone Devils as an ally (Lvl 13 oathbreaker paladin, lvl 1 warlock the fiend) multiclass
I had my players encounter a jackalope on their first session rambling something about a teeth man. Now, that was originally going to be a throwaway line, but now I'm planning on actually putting in a teeth man. And this seems like the perfect fit.
Fighting a bone devil in a crowded room. Took half my health in one hit. We're all level 10 by the way. Wish us luck.
one of my favorite monsters i ever ran in combat as a dm
that's one of my favourite monsters!
After seeing this I asked my DM if i could use the visual of it as the lycanthropic transformation for my blood hunter tiefling. Now I'm just waiting to describe the horrendous transformation process.
I'm running a horror adventure rn and these guys are PERFECT!
1: Can see in the dark perfectly
2: Look fresh out of an SCP article
3: One of my players has insectophobia
3: Can Fly
4: FAST
I wouldn't think so. A white Xenomorph would not have wings or a poisonous tail blade. Plus, this thing is too big to be considered one. A typical human-spawned Xenomorph is about 8ft so it would be regarded as medium and not significantly large. Second: The devil has no Acidic blood and it cannot scale any surface. Third: a Xenomorph would have a Bite attack, whereas the Devil doesn't. So, not a White Xenomorph. I would recommend watching Alien: Covenant for the White Xenomorph you desire or browse homebrew for the Neomorph.
i hate my party

Boney McBoneFace
Beautiful
I’m going to turn a bone devil in to a bone Angel because of this.
Bouta use this fella on my players wish me luck
it looks like a thing you would find in stranger things
