Devil's Sight. Magical darkness doesn't impede the devil's darkvision.
Magic Resistance. The devil has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Actions
Multiattack. The devil makes three attacks: two with its claws and one with its sting.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage.
Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 17 (5d6) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
my dungeon master put this in the campaign first thing.
Yr DM knows whats up
after that, he put an https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/ancient-blue-dragon
Ha, funny. I'm also using this as the first monster in my campaign!
Introducing adventurers tonight to one of these. It's an inquisitive fiend who goes by the name Boney McBoneFace. If the adventurers are polite and don't try to go murder-hobo on Boney, they may just get out of the encounter alive and with some beneficial knowledge. Here's to hoping that the cleric's Wisdom outweighs his religious fervor.
Dang.
Using a bone devil for my campaign as a enemy for one of my players personal quest. Such a great enemy.
I should have clarified that we were 1st level, and it was an endless respawn arena combat scenario. I sometimes leave out vital information and don't realize it.
Same
I'm PLAYING as a bone devil (chaotic good paladin)
HAHAHAHAHA Boney McBoneface
That sounds difficult in several ways. Probably most prevalent of these being that they don't speak Common.
Driven by hate, lust, and envy, bone devils act as the cruel taskmasters of the Nine Hells. They set weaker devils to work, taking special delight in seeing fiends that defy them demoted. At the same time, they long for promotion and are bitterly envious of their superiors, attempting to curry favor though it irks them to do so.
A bone devil appears as a humanoid husk, with dried skin stretched tight across its skeletal frame. It bears a fearsome skull-like head and the tail of a scorpion, and a foul odor of decay hangs in the air around it. Though they are devastating in combat with their claws, bone devils also wield hooked polearms made of bone, which they use to subdue enemies before striking with their venomous tails.
this thing kill a warlock dragon born on 52 hp and level 7
First session during lock down and yeah this turns up level 5 PC
My favorite character I play is part Bone Devil. Father is Tiefling mother is Bone Devil, she had a falling out with her mother, hope we never run into her again lol
My level 5 cleric just nuked this thing before it could even get an attack in.
TLDR: They’re commissars.
So, an underling better make sure his uniform is clean and his gear is polished before walking into a room with one, because they’re always on the lookout for “troublemakers" to discipline.
mine put the blue dragon first and I made it my friend :)
Lol the devil tried to kill me when i rejected it's gift because my celestial patron said that the gift was cursed. The devil was acting like grannny or something but when our druid nuked her with a plague she was really stressed and attacked a bonus time (cuz why not :))) ) and she left me on 1hp
