Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.
Actions
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage.
Description
Undead zombies move with a jerky, uneven gait. They are clad in the moldering apparel they wore when put to rest, and carry the stench of decay.
How?
You're proud of me? :')
XD no kidding.
A zombie appears
zombies are fun to set on fire
Try watching the walking dead. Then try watching Honor Among Thieves.
What does the 3d8+9 mean next to the hitpoints
Hey I am relatively new to Dnd does anyone have any dm tips for me?
skill issue
owchie i got hurt
It means you can either use the listed HP (22) or you can roll 3d8+9 to randomly assign HP to the zombie. Effectively, the HP range for a zombie is between 12 and 33 HP.
tip: watch dm tip videos/ don't plan out anything except the very key parts of your story and get to know your player's character(very important tip: even though your are the god of this world don't act like you have control of everything/have fun)
I'm thinking of putting an event in my campain where one of the charecters turns into a zombie. Would the charecter become a monster hungry for brains, or still retain his intelligence? A level 20 cleric NPC is going to bring him back with a powerful spell, so I'm confused on what I should do.
i just shoved it into google
that's in fact a important mechanic for my homebrew undead monster "the gluttonous soul" (if you get swallowed by it and die you can choose to go into the afterlife or hold onto your body)
Take half damage if not it in the head. But if hit in head you do double damage.
How are zombies not immune to sleep and charm?
The dice are the real gods as they determine fate.
