Fey Ancestry. The drow has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put the drow to sleep.
Innate Spellcasting. The drow’s spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 11). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: dancing lights
1/day each: darkness, faerie fire
Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the drow has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
Hand Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 hour. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the target is also unconscious while poisoned in this way. The target wakes up if it takes damage or if another creature takes an action to shake it awake.
Me too, in curse of strand lol, her name is Du Sang.
Is this a spell that automatically comes with the character? Im trying to add the spells I want, but DND beyond just put this spell in as soon as I leveled up.
No - we didn't - Drow (rhymes with cow) since the 70's mate.
you want a high charisma for a drow
Playing a Drow druid with my friends in a campaign and at the very end I am going to betray them for a homebrew item which would basically bring the under dark to spread across the entire land and blah blah blah so i get to be the Big bad at the very end. I am very excited to see how that will turn out
Look under Elf, Dark
shouldn't have to pay for this race
Whatever happened to the Drow magic resistance? It was always something that made the dark elves extremely formidable in older versions.
Because you don't own that race.
it's a subrace of elf
have heard that Drizzit is fire! also are drow rouges good?
drows feel like the emo race to me pretty weird but they do have black for there skin color
whos ur fave dnd youtuber mine is pointy hat
What if you bought the players handbook irl
5e Drow are basically the children of previous editions. This isn't a true drow- needs Magic Resistance, Chain shirt +! or Adamantine chain shirt at least. They can move change the size and move the darkness spell. Completely needs to be reworked.

I’m pretty sure the pronunciation is by Mathew Mercer.
it is, in fact, pronounced dro. like droe.
NOT DRAU.
