Greetings Everyone!
We're happy to announce the Digital Dice Alpha is now live on the Character Sheet for subscribers only.
These digital dice will help you reduce the math you have to do when playing D&D. We encourage everyone to give them a roll and tell us how they feel!
If you'd like to turn off Dice rolling on the character sheet for any reason, you can click on your character dropdown and toggle the Digital Dice off.
As a thank you, you will also receive a free set of Old School dice that celebrates our roots. You can activate them by going to the My Dice page under "Collections" on the top nav.
If you'd like to learn more about how to use the dice or to give us feedback, visit our Digital Dice Feedback Forum.
Thanks all. Happy rolling!

It is great to see the new features that were dependant on the framework update coming out so fast. Having advantage and disadvantage marked on the skills is chocolatey.
Loving the digital dice so far, and looking forward to my players having this as an option.
One thing I don't like is the fact the skills list is longer when the dice is on, due to the larger boxes. On my screen I am having to scroll to see the full list of skills.
Very cool add on and super useful for my party as a DM! Wish there was a feature where you could turn on and off combat rolling, as right now every roll is automatically added together. Would also love to see it add the extra hit dice automatically when you roll a Nat 20 on an attack roll, as right now you have to roll extra hit dice on the side panel instead and add to your roll and modifier on your own. Also love the authenticity of seeing the dice roll but for practicality would love the option to get the rolls immediately in the side panel without blocking my screen info. The handiest tool is definitely telling me what I rolled for (i.e. shortbow, warhammer, dex-acrobatics check) but still need to add this feature to saving throws. Overall loving the new feature so far! So excited to play around with it more!
I've tried a few rolls on the character sheet, and like the on screen effect and how the totals are displayed.
I do check that site relatively regularly. But there isn't any checklist yet recorded for the digital dice beyond the one that they clearly checked off for today: 'integrate into the code environment'.

Love it! Can't wait for D&D Beyond's own virtual tabletop. There is so much room to improve upon Roll 20, as fantastic as it is.
Hi,
Are we able to use this to roll stats when making a character?
Hmn, the speed leaves something to be desired at the moment.
But your concept already is pretty sound. Some way of speeding up the rolling of the dice or when the result is displayed would be ideal. Along with an option to just turn the dice rolling animation off entirely and spit out the results. I know this is what my group primarily does on Roll20.
Curious to know if we'll be able to use the digital dice in encounters for monsters instead of just on character sheets?
Is there an option for rolling with Advantage / Disadvantage?
Also, will the "thank's for testing" dice stay available after this goes live?
good question, following
Needs to be a more straight forward way to use Divine Smite for paladins.
Don't know if someone brought this up yet, but I did notice the Alpha doesn't take the rogue's reliable talent into effect on skill checks. Figured it was being looked at but thought to bring it to light.
Will this eventually stop adding mods to crit successes and fails?
There is not currently an option for Advantage and Disadvantage. It's something we need to tackle. The hard part is how. We're still looking into it and everyone's feedback has been a really big help with that.
For the Old School Dice, you will get to keep those FOREVER as a special thank you for subscribing and helping us test. I hope you enjoy them. I know that's my chosen set... for now!
If you all have more feedback, please feel free to thread it into our Digital Dice Feedback Forum
This is awesome, I haven't tried everything yet but I love it. Super inclusive and a great all-in-one from what I can see.
Good question. I was just wondering the same thing.
it would be nice to include the mechanic of Advantage and Disadvantage in this feature...
Plans to make items in sheet clickable to automatically roll dice would be great. Ability to roll dice and include modifiers (+1, +2, etc.) would be nice also. Also definitely an up vote to be able to share visibility of rolls in various ways. Excited to see this, regardless. It's a step in the right direction to me!
Just doing a bit more trying of the rolling on my computer. I love that you can left click each type of dice and add 1-2-3, etc and then you can right click and subtract 3-2-1. That's a great feature! It does not automatically work with Advantage/Disadvantage stuff but that's not that bit of deal because you can see that last 2-3 rolls. Great stuff. I'm really enjoying it so far.
Love it!
