For a class which has proficiency in medium armour, when adding armour to Equipment (by selecting "Add Items"):
When "Proficient" is checked then Chain Shirt (medium armour) doesn't appear in the list when it should. (Also Spiked Armour doesn't appear but I don't know where this comes from so maybe it's not supposed to.)
Only by unchecking "Proficient" does the Chain Shirt appear.
There's an issue with the chain shirt. It's fixed in the current build, which will be live for 15th :)
It would be awesome to have a sheet dedicated to encumbrance and have it show a break down of items your carrying and how much each item weighs. I follower sheet would be nice as well for a hireling or mount.
In regards to Warlock charactor creation, Can only select Fiend Patron in drop down tool and even with Pact of the Tome selected, it will not let you pick Book of Ancient Secrets as an invocation.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
;)
Greetings
As stated only one patron is free content and hence used during (open?) beta.
I could (atlest 25 min ago) select The Book of Ancient Secrets invocation at level 5 but not at level 2. I still haven't found where I can add/select the two spells with ritual tags so maybe there is some work done on that invocation.
The only thing I find missing right now is the list of stock Backgrounds (like Entertainer, etc) and Feats. Kinda like, when I level up, walk me through the options. I know, I know, it's just isn't there, yet. But that's all I am waiting for, personally.
I don't know what I am doing wrong but when I am viewing my character and I chose export, it brings up a PDF of a blank character sheet (no info on it at all, not even a name). I am using Google chrome on an iPad.
I believe this is an issue with fillable PDFs on the native viewer in iOS. I've see that if I open the same link/file on a computer it works just fine.

Speaking of Warlock Invocations: about a month ago I brought up in this thread that because the Warlock allows you to retrain one known invocation with another invocation that you could learn at that level whenever you level up, the level 2 invocation options should upgrade to include the level 5 options. This does not appear to have happened.
So things in the Official 5e Players Handbook is not considered basic rules? That seems odd to me. Especially seeing that it lists these as options in the text during the creator and it just not existing on the drop down box.

Hi wc5b,
the "problem" is not what it is considered "basic rules" and what not, the problem is what is free from WotC and what not. For the next three days DDB is still in the beta test and only free material is provided. On the 15th, the launch of purchasable content is on.

Nope - the "Basic Rules" are the ones available for free on Wizards' website. See the post above yours for the links to all the free content that is available during this beta test phase. Full official content is coded into the site, so it does show up during searches, but won't available until next Tuesday when DDB goes "live" and you'll be able to purchase it.

Seems to have been pushed live now, however, Spiked Armor still suffers from this issue. It is medium armor so any class that is proficient in all medium armor (such as the Ranger) should have proficiency. The Battlerager subclass grants the ability to use Spiked Armor as a weapon because the Barbarian class already grants proficiency.
1. When I tried to do my health the calculations were all wrong. It was saying my bonuses equaled +6, I only had one bonus from con of a +2. It also said that my max health at lvl one was 6, a monk has a hit die of 8 my max is 10 with my con mod.
2. I saw other people mention this. adding weapons does not seem to do anything.
1. I am trying to make a monk with the monastic tradition of "Way of the four elements", but the only open I get for picking a tradition is " Way of the open hand".
2. When choosing a background it only gave me a few options, half the list was missing. I wanted to entertainer background but it was not one of the 5 options I could pick.

All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has just been announced.
Also:
My monk showed a right calculation of the hit points. Are you using manually or fixed? Adding weapons, and then equipping them, should update your attacks section.
Is Unearthed Arcana conent planned to be used? I was browsing feats and such and saw no mentioning of UA content. I know it's technically playtest material, but I plan on buying the "live" version, and was hoping to make a few characters that relied on UA for content (for exa: Mystic class, Favored Soul Sorcerer origin, etc.). Will UA be included?
They have mentioned that they are looking into how they might include UA in the future and as far as in am awear it is on their road map to include in the future however no official details surrounding it have been announced
I know i have brought this up a few times on this thread but I'm super keen for it
Have there been any updates on the Wild Shape/companion management section in the character sheet?
As I play a 16th Level Circle of the Moon Druid in my current campaign it is a feature i am desperately holding out on.
I have some ideas for the feature which i think i have also shared in this thread before so i will refrain from doing so again, just keen to know if it is a while off or coming soon.
Don't mean to rush just super excited to get the full potential of this platform on the 15th
Launch is right around the corner, so I just wanted to address one lingering problem I have with the digital character sheet.
The Features and Description boxes are still a confusing jumble. I appreciate the fact that much of the information that was repeated elsewhere in the character sheet has been excised (though some could still be taken out, e.g. Dwarven Combat Training that already appears in Proficiencies). Well done there! But I keep thinking that the organization of what remains needs work.
Right now it's organized into the following categories: Racial Traits, Class Features, Background, etc. While those categories are appropriate during the stages of character creation, I find them less so once the character is in play. For example, if I have immunity to disease, does it matter in-play if that is a racial trait, class feature, or background feature? No, all that matters is that it's noticeable so that when my character is exposed to disease, I can see I'm immune to it.
I would suggest new subboxes that arrange the information with play in mind be instituted. Categories might be as follows: Resistances and Immunities, Senses, Combat Abilities, Movement, Social Abilities, Exploration Abilities, etc.
Organized this way, I would be able to quickly find the pertinent information to the situation I find myself. I'm in the dark? I open the Senses tab and find that I have Darkvision and Divine Sense. In combat? I open the Combat Abilities tab and see that, in addition to my weapon and spell attacks in the Attacks box, I also have Lay on Hands, Fighting Style: Protection, Divine Smite, and Channel Divinity. I don't have to go hunting in two or more dropdowns. It's all right there.

I like that system. Motion seconded.

I will stress that this new format, if there's enough interest, will most likely not be out by release. Its been quite a bit after phase 2 and 3 have been released, so a major rework while staff is preparing the marketplace will be highly unlikely. I like it though. And it makes a lot of sense.

We have been working on an approach almost identical to this since the first day or so after releasing the digital sheet into beta. It won't be out by Tuesday, but it won't be too terribly far down the road.
In addition to much of what you have already described here, there will also be a heavy emphasis on action economy since that impacts play so much.
Our starting point was to make sure that we made character creation something that was a little easier and made sense. We will continue to explore ways to make the digital sheet more useful for play. We are in complete agreement that the two are trying to accomplish different things and therefore require different approaches.
Appreciate the feedback and I'm glad to hear some confirmation that we are headed in the right direction.
