Not OP, but I'm running into something that seems like lag in propagation, too.
One of my players was playing an Aberrant Mind Sorcerer and was bummed when it got pulled (he'd been warned, but he's 14, so I'm just rolling with it), so I am attempting to recreate it for my game: https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/485685-aberrant-mind-hbjws
It's my first foray into building a subclass, so I as I fumble my way through I keep trying to check my work with character I have created for this purpose (https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/Jeremynyc/characters/29660223) and the things I've created aren't there, but the changes I made a few days ago are, though some of them weren't showing up when I was working on it over the weekend.

Hi Jeremynyc,
You should not need to homebrew the Aberrant Mind for them. Since the PC already has that subclass, they can continue to play that character even after the Subclass has been archived as it will still work for that PC.
I hope this is helpful.

I have noticed lag in homebrew too. I created feats to replicate the Piety of Heliod features and even with homebrew turned on, everything made correct, and refreshing the feat just would not appear available on the character. I got gave up, opened a new tab and posted in the forums, watched a youtube 10 min vid, came back, refreshed character page for the bajillionth time and it appeared.
I tested by making a basic feat for a test character. Again, it would not show the feat in builder or on sheet for selection until several minutes had passed. Tested for feats and items.
It also lags to have updates to existing things. I made a copy of the Tortle and was trying to change the natural armour feature so it would work properly, - made a tortle character using the copy, and it would not show the changed feature: only the original version of it. So I changed it again, updated, refreshed character: no update, deleted character remade it, no update. Removed the feature entirely, deleted the character, logged out, cleared cache etc, closed browser, opened and logged back in, created new character, checked and feature still removed from the copy, made new character using that copy but feature still there. Deleted character again opened an entirely different browser on an entirely different device using a different ISP - made new character and nope feature still active on sheet despite the actual race no longer having it. I got frustrated and gave up. I went back to it today and everything works finally.
So there is definitely a lag between creation/update of homebrew and it appearing/updating on sheet.

When he leveled up, it removed the subclass from his sheet. He may have made a mistake and selected another subclass or done something else that made this happen -- I didn't have eyes on his screen when he did this -- but he is no longer able to access anything from that subclass.
In any case, after messing with the subclass homebrew tool (ooh boy I'd like to work with someone to update the documentation related to that!), I was able to build out what he needs through fourth level, and once it propagated to his character it seems to be working fairly well.
As far as the lag, I sure would love it if there was a message at the top of all of those screens announcing the lag. It's not a big deal once you know it's there, but I'd love to get back that first 15 minutes where I was changing things and not seeing them roll out, and because of that adjusting (incorrectly) my understanding of how to use the tool!
Anyway, I love DnDBeyond and though I've got other things to quibble about, I'm all in and very much appreciate the tools, the pricing, and the community!

I wish I had made a backup for the Aberrant Mind, but I didn’t. I would have invited you to join a campaign and given you a copy for your player to convert into their old character. Sorry. Maybe someone else can hook you up with one. If so, can I please have a copy too?
Any update to this? This 20+ minute lag on edits to homebrew showing up is making it extremely difficult to make or update homebrew or fix errors. When I make homebrew or fix things a bit more complicated I would test this on a character sheet, make edits and retest. Now, however, it's taking 20 minutes or longer for me to see the edits. What used to take me maybe 5 minutes to test and edit now takes OVER AN HOUR. It's insanely frustrating and is making homebrewing almost unusable.
As a codehead I know there shouldn't be any reason at all for it to take this long. This needs to be fixed.
Please can you fix, or provide an update or explanation - something? Anything?

From what I understand, the team is actively working on a fix but there's no ETA at the moment. There have already been a few updates that they've deployed but are working on fixing it completely.
I'm sorry to report this is still the case. I'm also sorry to report that it's unlikely anyone actively working on this issue would fail to address it in months... Just remove the character sheets from the cache when they use a homebrew element that has changed in the last hour or so and that will do it :/
The homebrew system is a great idea and that's one of the big reason I'm actually here. But... the lack of documentation and this lag are a real screw up. That's really unfortunate. I understand the need to develop features that bring you money but I would invest in more devs if I were you. The features are way too slow to come out and important bugs take ages to be fixed. That is neither normal nor efficient.
Just to note, this is still an issue. It is a problem when you are attempting to understand what does what in Homebrew and if I made a mistake, or if it just isn't showing up. I get a small delay. But I do not understand the enormous delay for changes to show up in my character sheet. I'm trying to work on scaling at higher levels. And could not get it to update it when i changed my level. I am over here thinking I am the one just doing it wrong. So I made an outrageous change just to see if it did anything. It didn't. As I'm trying to figure out what is going on. I removed that enormous change since it didn't show up. basically changed an addition of 1d6 to 10d6. After I removed it and was working on a different part, the enormous change actually appeared even though I had previously removed it. This is a bit ridiculous.
I then came here to figure out what is going on. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. Not glad to see this has been going on for months and nothing has been resolved...
It has to do with all of the invisible behind the scenes work the Dev’s had to do to safeguard everything while they redesigned the homebrewer to implement Tasha’s etc. Often times adjusting the PC’s level will speed up the process.
I fully understand that there is caching going on to make those changes appear on the character sheet. That it is necessary to a degree. I have changed classes/level/removed and readded the spell/reloaded the page in between those changes to try and "speed" up these update to the spell. It has not worked...
Want to bump that this delay is also showing up with homebrewed equipment as well. And not just changes--I made a homebrew weapon over 24 hours ago and it still isn't showing up as an option on any of my characters (I've tried clearing the cache a couple times)
I'm experiencing a similar issue. I created a homebrewed version of the Thri-Kreen race, but after using it with a character it seems to have bugged out. I can't change the race of any character using it, and any changes made to the race's stats aren't applied to the character.
Apologies for piling on. If you guys could acknowledge this is an issue or it's being looked at, this would be very helpful! This bug hurts iteration on homebrew features in my campaign.

Have you in fact switched on HB for your charters. First page of the builder the slider should be red.
