I have to apologize for wasting some of the moderators time in homebrew. I was adding Mormesk the Wraith to my homebrew for a session I'm running with Mines of Phandelver. Somewhere in there I submitted it for review but couldn't find a way to un-submit. As expected, it was rejected for copyright reasons and now has a permanent red branding of "rejected" across the top of the details page. Other than offering to buy the moderators a cold beer the next time I'm in town, is there a way to remove the "scarlet letter" from my homebrew creation so I don't see the rejected title at the top? I tried making some changes to the creation but it still carries the branding.
I've been creating some homebrew spells, all of which are currently private, and I would like to link one or more of them to a homebrew magic item but when I click the "Add a spell" button my homebrew spells are not in the list.
Do homebrew spells need to be published first for me to be able to add them to items or is this functionality currently not supported?

I'm pretty sure the functionality isn't supported yet.

Quick question, if I homebrew something, could I then use a tooltip to link to it? For example, if I'm using homebrew in a PbP campaign, could I say, "You have found the (magicitem)Amulet of Rapha(/magicitem). Congratulations!" (Incorrect bracket used on purpose)

CRich,
We currently don't support tooltips for homebrew data as the names are not unique. However, we will be updating the tooltip system to use the unique slug for homebrew versus just the name. I don't think that update will be in for launch, but it is on our list!
One thing I have just noticed - I was creating a new spell and added a ranged value, however then put '30ft' rather than just '30' in the range box. D&D Beyond did not approve of this and told me off in red letters that this was an invalid range. However it was so annoyed with me it greyed out the range box so I couldn't remove the troublesome 'ft'. It was fairly easy to sort out - just had to change the range type box to something else (touch I chose I think) then back to range and it allowed me to edit again, but probably shouldn't have stopped me correcting the problem in the first place!
I just had an item I made rejected, but the reason for it dosnt make sence. I made a Greatsword version of the base Sun Blade. The reason given was that the "Item is the Sun Blade from Curse of Strahd", but it's not.
One: There is no Sun Blade in CoS its the Sunsword.
Two: The Sunsword is intelligent, my weapon is just a base Sun Blade altered to be a Greatsword.
Three: The Sunsword like the base Sun Blade is a Longsword. Mine is a Great Sword.
Four: The only things I changed from the base Sun Blade was to change the base item to a Greatsword, to change the proficiencies needed from Shortsword, or Longsword, to Longsword, or Greatsword, and lastly to change Finess to Versatile.
So my question is why was it rejected? It's a lot different from the Sunsword, so is there some other issue with it?

You would likely get a quicker answer by pming one of the moderators, or if the rejection notice says who rejected it pming them direct.

It does not say who it was, but I'll try sending this to a mod. Thanks!
It worked. I was contacted, and we are talking it out now.
Awesome. They stated elsewhere that contacting one of them directly was the quickest path to resolution. Glad to see you got hold of one. They have been doing a stellar job.
Is there a way to add silvered to a homebrew item? Also can you add multiple dice type to an item? Currently you cannot but it would be a helpful feature. For example I've created a glaive that does 1d8 + 1d4 damage. As well as can you add spells a various levels to an item? When I go to add the same spell but at a different level I get an error.
I'm curious to know if there will be support for other types of Homebrew rules. For instance I would like to create a custom Cleric Domain. Will be be able to create custom subclasses in the future? What about classes? Races? How much customization is going to be available in the future of homebrews?

Backgrounds, Feats, Races and Subclasses have all been confirmed will be available for homebrew in the future. However no indication on when has been revealed.

There should be classes; there will be feats, races, subclasses, and backgrounds; I hope there will be everything else.

I know it's been said that they're in the works, but I'm just curious -- will homebrew feats, classes, etc. be available upon official release on the 15th? I'm really looking forward to custom feats as they're a big part of my games. Can't rush great work though, so take your time. Again... just curious.

Thanks and apologies again.
All you need to do is remove it from your homebrew creations, then restore it from your homebrew collection. It worked for me, I think.
And thanks for the beer!

Thanks for the response! Can't wait for the 15th!
