Title says it all. Tried adding Tank of Sobrierity to one of my players but cannot find it from inventory. Do I need to have content sharing or something?

If you own the Xanathar's Guide to Everything or it is being shared to your character via campaign sharing, then you should be able to find the items in the Equipment pane by using the Manage Equipment button.

Reviving this. I'm a non-subscribed user with a DM who has shared their publications with me, Xanathar's guide is included. I'm trying to add a common magical item from Xanathar's to my inventory and most common items just aren't there. I really want my cloak to billow....;) I'm not seeing any common cloaks, I haven't really searched for the other common items.
Is that character in that campaign? Content is not being shared with “you” as a player, it is being shared with “the campaign” itself. If you’re character is not in that campaign then you won’t have access to the shared content.
Are your and your DM’s Account Entitlements out of sync: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace)? That periodically can happen, you both just need to follow that👆link and it will tell you and let you re-sync right from there if that’s the problem.
Did the campaign sharing “get stuck?” Periodically a campaign can have content sharing get stuck and the way to fix it is for whoever is sharing that content to turn content sharing off and back on again for that campaign.

I own Xanathar's Guide to Everything and I'm currently hosting a campaign. Can I confer the item to a player without content sharing?
Only if you re-make the item via homebrew system.

Top three likely issues:
Content is not being shared with “you” as a player, it is being shared with “the campaign” itself. If you’re character is not in that campaign then you won’t have access to the shared content.
That periodically can happen, you both just need to follow that👆link and it will tell you and let you re-sync right from there if that’s the problem.
