I'm trying to edit a tiefling's ability increases using the "Customize Your Origin" feature, but for some reason, I can't choose Charisma. I was building a warlock, and I wanted to change the +1 to be CON or DEX, while keeping the +2 at Charisma. It's not just the +2 where I can't assign Charisma, but also the +1.

I just tried doing that with a test character of mine, and I wasn't able to select Charisma either.
...Then I realized that I'd done an Override on the character's Charisma score to set it to 20. When I removed that, Charisma showed up in the origin ASI dropdowns again.
So the current ability score needs to not be 20 in order to select that ability.

Thanks. I'll do that. This will be a temporary fix until the devs update it.
Set your level 1 charisma score to 18 from your rolls
Assigned your 4th level warlock ability score improvements both to charisma
This gives you a total charisma ability score of 20, which is the maximum a character can have without magical effects. As such, you cannot assign any more ability score improvements to charisma.
You'll need to remove the ability score improvement to charisma from your warlock levels in order to assign your racial ability score improvements in its stead.

You're going to need to post a link to your character. Otherwise, mods and devs can't help you troubleshoot the issue.

It's not done yet, but here it is. I know it doesn't have to be finished, because you are looking at the techincal stuff that's out of reach of users.

Should I not do anything to my character until after you've looked at it. I might go back to work on it, but I think I should wait.

It's because you've done the following:
This gives you a total charisma ability score of 20, which is the maximum a character can have without magical effects. As such, you cannot assign any more ability score improvements to charisma.
You'll need to remove the ability score improvement to charisma from your warlock levels in order to assign your racial ability score improvements in its stead.
