I created a custom feat using some idea's I got from an outside book, however the modifiers for ability scores are not changing when the feat is applied to the character. Am I doing something wrong? When I apply the feat "Actor" which increases Charisma by 1, I see the ability score change. When I apply my feat, nothing changes, although the modifiers look identical.
I read that 3 times and do not see any mention of a boost to a specific Ability Score. Where is it mentioned?
That link lets us see the feat, but only a moderator can see how it’s programmed, so you might need to wait for one of them.
If you haven’t actually used something for a couple months to make sure everything is working correctly, it’s usually better to hold off on publishing. Fixing it after it’s published requires more steps in the process.
As to your current problem, it could be a couple things:
If you added that modifier but didn’t save the whole feat again, it will not trigger the system to pick up the changes. After adding or editing a modifier, the whole homebrew always needs to be re-saved.
Sometimes, if you change a feat after it is on a character sheet it takes longer to update on the character sheet.
If the PC had a published version of the feat, and then you created a new version, changed it, and republished it, then that PC still has the old version of the feat without the changes. They will need to drop the feat and reselect the new version. That’s one of the problems with publishing before it’s finished. (Found that out the hard way myself too.)
If the Ability you are trying to increase is already at 20, then the modifier used for Actor won’t work. To boost an ability above 20 requires a combo of two separate modifiers.
If you think it’s any of that lemme know. If not, then also post a link to the character for the Mods to check out.
I dont know how to show the feat edit details, but here is the link to the screenshot. How can I make it to where you all can see the specifics of the feat like I do when I am editing it?
The feat appears to be adding the +1 to Dexterity and Charisma scores correctly when I test it on a character.

Please note that I have rejected the homebrew as the ability score increase was missing from the description. I will review it again after you have added them to the description.

They just gave you a big gift!! That will make it sooo much easier to edit and fix things like this, or anything else you might find. Playtest and edit thoroughly before resubmitting, not a lot of people get a second chance like that. I’m actually a little jealous.
Hey, i'm not sure why but it seems to be working perfectly now! Maybe it was just temporarily glitch? Sorry about the submission, I don't think I have submitted anything often at all, I just submitted this because I wanted others to be able to troubleshoot it with me. Sorry about that, i'll fix it!

I don't see anything in this feat that would adjust your ability scores.

You cannot other than through screenshots like you did.
