I have noticed within the last week or two that the Aasimar race and subraces from Volo's isn't appearing in my character builder. I have the content purchased and was able to see it up until recently.
Please contact support. I've seen several reports along these lines of late; they are reworking a lot of code and services on the back end, and I think that may be the cause.
When the Encounter Builder first became available, we saw a lot of reports of folks temporarily losing access in the builder to monsters from certain books, which was easily fixed on a case by case basis. Something about syncing entitlements. I'm guessing this may be similar. Keep in mind, though, that I know next to nothing about software development, so I could be wrong.
Hello! The team has put out a fix that should address this issue. Please check and see if your purchased subraces appear now, and if they don't try to logout and clear your cache, then check again.
My Aasimar subraces show in the BUILDER but do not show in the compendium (it tries to get me to buy all of volos for 29.99) and there's no option on the site to buy the subraces themselves.

Races & Subraces can be individually purchased from the sourcebook they were published in by going to the D&D Beyond Marketplace, finding the sourcebook, then scrolling down the page to the subraces section.
Right, I can, but they don't show up in the app/compendium on my tablet or phone if I'm looking through races. If I click them there it tries to get me to purchase all of VGtM (without my discount I might add). They do show up there, and also in the builder, but that doesn't help me overly if I'm using my tablet or phone.
For the record I've logged out and back in, cleared my apps cache and restarted the app in various combinations to no avail there. It's not currently a huge issue, just that I was reading through things on my tablet familiarizing myself with ideas for an upcoming campaign.

Are you able to check that you have the latest version of the app installed from the app store. After that can you check the latest manifest is downloaded: > Open App > My Account > Tap Avatar/B icon > Customer Support > Download Latest manifest.
We had a previous issue with Aasimar subraces, however that has been resolved. I'm wondering if the app still has old data and hasn't refreshed properly.

You should be able to see the subraces here:

Hmmm, yeah, sounds like some sort of problem with the mobile app. 😥
Sorry about that - for now, I suggest using your tablet/phone to access the website (it works well in mobile view).
I've logged this for the mobile team to take a look at.
