I'm currently in a pirate campaign and after our next session, me and my team are going to be level 3. We are:
Variant Human Fighter (Me): I duel wield
Red Dragonborn Grave Domain Cleric: Support (Obviously)
Red Dragon Monk: He sort of help in the fight
Forged Fighter (Turned rouge. Don't ask): Until we can get him back to normal form, he will be our sneaky boy, thing.
I can't decide between the two. They both look good and I want to see what the community thinks about the two of them. Also, if it matters, my stats are the following:
I find EK to be a bit lackluster. Some people like them, but ones I’ve seen look more fun on paper than they actually are to play. I’ve not seen a psi-knight in action, so I can’t really speak to them. Your stats are the stranger thing. Why a 16 int and a 14 in str. (unless you were setting up for EK all along) And a 20 con is really weird. I’m guessing you rolled an 18, put one of your points there and took a Vhuman half feat that boosts con. But it seems a strange choice. That 18 should go str. As I’m thinking about it, though, ek might be a better choice, or else that 16 is pretty much wasted in int.
EK often disappoints when people try to use it to fill the 'arcane caster' role. It's best played as a fighter that uses magic to be a better fighter. You're not throwing down Fireball and Hypnotic Pattern. Instead you're casting Shield and Haste on yourself. From what I've seen, people who approach the class in this way tend to be a lot more satisfied with it.
I think both subclasses are good. Pick the one that fits your character the most.
If you go EK you might want to consider the warcaster feat at 4th level since you dual wield it will help with the whole component thing. Unless your DM isn’t that strict about it.
I'm trying to decide between psi and eldritch, as they both require intelligence (which I knew I had to dump a lot of points into. I was fine with it because I hate playing stupid characters, some sessions are RP heavy where being stupid is a detriment and didn't want to be a caster, or something weak, like a rogue or monk, the duel wielding made up of my slightly above average strength thanks to house ruling (my main weapon being a +2 war hammer), and I just obtained soldering plate armor, so my AC is consistently 20 without a shield. Also, components are completely ignored in the games I play in.
As for lv 4, because I just there, I decided to make my intelligence 18 by putting in 2 more points.

Your party lacks a arcane caster. I would go with eldritch knight, which you can multiclass later with wizard/bladesinger to get more spell slots.
Psi knight is more positional and tactical advantages which your party doesnt really need much. It needs more battlefield control and versatility
Interesting. I also just talked to my DM, and it seems an arcane trickster will be joining us. Is it still a good idea to go to eldrich knight.

My homebrew subclasses (full list here)
(Artificer) Swordmage | Glasswright | (Barbarian) Path of the Savage Embrace
(Bard) College of Dance | (Fighter) Warlord | Cannoneer
(Monk) Way of the Elements | (Ranger) Blade Dancer
(Rogue) DaggerMaster | Inquisitor | (Sorcerer) Riftwalker | Spellfist
(Warlock) The Swarm
I'm doing an Ek build with 3 lvls of Order of the Scribes...pick ritual caster Mage/ wizard and you get a ton of utility out of your char.
If you go EK you might want to consider the warcaster feat at 4th level since you dual wield it will help with the whole component thing. Unless your DM isn’t that strict about it.
