This is more a suggestion than anything else, throwing it out there to see the communities thoughts and hopefully gain some traction to have it implemented (p.s appologies for the spelling, im dyslexic)
I am curently running a pirate based themed game with lots of homebrew content for monsters (mainly other pirate crews, navy officers, mercs etc.) i was hoping to group them all together so they could be easy to find (for example the Navy characters could be under a "Navy" heading in my Homebrew creation lists) but i cant seem to find anything that would allow that? dont know if it already exisits or not, but if it doesnt i think it would be a great quality of life feature.
I try and use prefixes or suffixes on all of my homebrew. You could just name each monster "Navy - something" that way, they would all come up if you searched for "Navy"
I use emojis in the names of homebrews for various campaigns instead of pre/suffixes. The reason being that a homebrew’s name goes into the URL, and I frequently need to drop links to my ‘brews so people can see them outside of the campaigns. (If someone is in a DDB campaign with you, you can send them a link to your homebrews and they can not only see them, but if they also have a subscription they can even add them to their own collections.) If you change or remove the pre/suffixes then the URL changes and the links break. But emojis in the names don’t affect the URLs, so if I later change or remove them the links don’t break.
Ahh that's a good idea! I'm the only one at my table with the sub so they have content share from me, I do think some kind of organisation would be good for us 🙏
Content sharing is not required to share homebrew. All homebrew content in everyone’s collection is automatically shared with everyone else in the same campaign. Content sharing is only required to share official & partnered content.
