So I've been traversing the forums for a while now on mobile (I have an Android phone) and I've noticed that while I'm in a post, there is no button that I can press that will simply take me back to the forum I was looking at. I'm not sure if this is because I can't find it, or it's not part of mobile or anything, but I think that it would be a really useful thing to have. I've had to go back to the main page and manually go through each step every time I want to return to the forums

You are right, in the forum there is no jump button for the mobile version, not yet at least. The only way is to click on the "android" button "Go back".

I'm typing this now through Chrome, through Android, and the regular Android back button works  for me.  Some phones have it as a physical button at the bottom left, others it pops up on the screen as a <-- arrow, next to the center 'home' button.  It should take you one page back on the browser.

If that isn't working I would suggest updating Chrome.  And if that doesn't work then let us know again.

There are also a few other browsers available in the marketplace that add a swipe-back feature - But for convenience sake, it might be nice for the mobile version of the forums to have a back button.

It's true there are no links at the top of the page as there are in the desktop view, but I think the regular Android back button will at least be easier for you than going back to the DBB main page at least.

I'm not actually sure what the current word from the Devs are regarding mobile functionality, and can't look it up right now, but I know they're working on several improvements.  Keep your eyes peeled!

Also, on Androids (and I assume iPhones), you'll have more options if viewing in landscape - such as the thanks button on posts, the tools/search buttons and also the jump to forum option at the bottom.

I do not actually have any more options when I rotate my phone, are you sure about that?  I was under the impression that they were still working on adding upvotes and things for mobile.

Thanks for the quick responses! I generally have a superstition about hitting the back button whenever something is being posted, sent, etc on mobile or desktop. But I do assent that my phone's back button would do the job

I have them on my Google Pixel XL when rotating - perhaps it's a screen size issue, smaller phones may not then.

Confirmed.  My phone screen is 4.5" and shows nothing whatever way I turn it - but my 9.6" Android Tablet instantly displays the tools and most other things from the desktop site, except it navigates between the forums, Compendium and listings like my phone does.

That's interesting, but I feel my phone could handle a few more options, especially when landscape.  I actually prefer the desktop version displayed on my phone to the mobile site as I can see much more information.   Perhaps it will be possible for them to let us manually change what our device displays?  Just another idea.

The phone back button doesn't work as well as a regular breadcrumb link would when viewing a multi-page thread. If you start on page 1 and read all the way to page 5 before wanting to go back to the forum, you need to hit the back button 5 times to get the forum list, whereas a breadcrumb gets you there in one click. Having a breadcrumb in the mobile view would be very helpful.

I too wish for forum breadcrumbs on mobile as well as desktop.
