This is SquidFace. It can't help if it was born with excessively droopy lips. This became feasible when coloring was added to HeroForge. (Includes spinning version.)
Thanks for the inspiration! I made my own version, with a different, newer head option.

Tail manipulation is definitely tricky, but I'd made this previously, so had some practice for tentacle face, just hadn't run them up through the body to the head before.

Oh my gosh, I spend so much time playing around with this, and yet most of my characters are nowhere near what I've seen in this thread, mostly because I don't have the patience to explore all of the advanced options. Before I show off anything I've made, I have a couple of questions:
a) Has anyone tried Hero Forge both on mobile and desktop, and am I crazy to think that desktop works significantly better?
b) Help a newbie out: is there a way to fiddle with some advanced settings to make a character look like she is wearing a key on a string around her neck as a pendant? I know a key exists among the items in the Gear section, but when I added it, I found that it is an oversized key meant to be smashed into an enemy's head, and what I need is a normal-sized key. It's important to the story, the mini feels lackluster without it.

2. Are you planning on buying/printing, or just using it to capture a screenshot? While there isn't a way to do it within HF, of you're doing the former, may be able to sculpt what you want out of fine wire and glue it to the piece, or if the latter, use Photoshop (or even just PowerPoint) to place it on the image?

Thanks, I made an attempt at editing it in. Didn't turn out the greatest, as my image editing capabilities are limited, but it's decent. Thanks again for the advice.
All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew:Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
Go to Base > Items, and scroll through to see what items are available. Common "Spell Effects" base items include the Smoke and Tentacles items. Example: Rosaria Blackmourne, a character I created for a more steampunky, Call of Cthulhu-informed game. Note some of the cool effects you can do with the Advanced Pose menu and careful control of item positioning and clipping. You get two selections for Base items - once you select your first item, a second category called "Items B" opens up and lets you select a second.
Unrelated to base spell effects, but related to original point of thread:
Aelitha, my warforged* Astral Self monk from a very interesting dual-timeline game I'm playing in. This is her normal, peaceful state:

How?!?!?! That’s amazing! Can you post the link to the mini, or just have a step by step of how to do it, it’s fantastic!
Jasper is a Rabbitfolk Druid, and though he may be small, he's stocky and can be very, very vicious! His family were massacred by wolves, and though he generally accepts the cruelty of nature as the way of life, and the delicate ecological balance that comes with it, he could not let that deed go unpunished! He's only ever heard the first half of the phrase "an eye for an eye", and so he decided that a justified punishment for the wolves was that he would slaughter and skin one of their cubs, wearing the pelt as a cloak wherever he goes! This now serves as a warning to all predatory animals he meets that even their prey have limits!
Although he strives to maintain the balance of nature, and let things play out as intended, for him that simply means he will not go seeking to end the lives of predatory beasts... However, if he should happen to come across a situation where weaker creatures need to be rescued, he will not hesitate to jump to their aid, even if that means upsetting the natural balance! There is a darkness within Jasper, and sometimes the bloodlust that fuels his vicious temperament rises to the surface and cannot be contained!
When he's not busy being a champion of the weak, he enjoys relaxing with hand-rolled cigars and fine whiskey... Despite his quickness to anger, he's generally a calm and mellow fellow, who loves nothing more than to just spend time adventuring with friends!

For simplicity, I removed facial features, but you could certainly leave them in, depending on the effect desired.
Again, I removed arms for simplicity, but you could leave them in if you want them visible. I also later chose the skeletal torso, as it leaves guts at the base of the abdominal cavity, but forgot to capture me doing that.
Add in multiple tails, I only did 4 for illustration purposes.
Swing 'Tilt' all the way to the right for the first 4 joints of each tail in the Advanced Pose menu.
Select torso and slide Tilt all the way to the left to get a back bend.
Can further tilt the head if you wish. In the one I posted previously, with more tails, the torso was fully obscured, and I put horns on the head to turn it into a demon/insect stinger.
From the front, not much of the torso/head remains visible, and the bit of torso that is there would be blocked by further tail/tentacles. This is where I switched to skeletal, you can see ribs on the left of the image, and the guts at the base of the tentacles.
The tails have lots of points of articulation, I like starting from the tip and working back, doing them one by one to get varied curls, twists and grasping motions.
Used the body and theme paintsets to do it quick, but then went in and used 'guts' on the guts.
Painting the other parts of the tentacles, I used 'guts' on the underside of the tail, gums for the main part, and rotting bone for the spines here.
Rear/side showing the torso and head. Can be further obscured, or just hidden by positioning if using for 2D image. If printing from STL, could probably be snipped/sawed/sanded if you wanted.
