How?!?!?! That’s amazing! Can you post the link to the mini, or just have a step by step of how to do it, it’s fantastic!
For simplicity, I removed facial features, but you could certainly leave them in, depending on the effect desired.
Again, I removed arms for simplicity, but you could leave them in if you want them visible. I also later chose the skeletal torso, as it leaves guts at the base of the abdominal cavity, but forgot to capture me doing that.
Add in multiple tails, I only did 4 for illustration purposes.
Swing 'Tilt' all the way to the right for the first 4 joints of each tail in the Advanced Pose menu.
Select torso and slide Tilt all the way to the left to get a back bend.
Can further tilt the head if you wish. In the one I posted previously, with more tails, the torso was fully obscured, and I put horns on the head to turn it into a demon/insect stinger.
From the front, not much of the torso/head remains visible, and the bit of torso that is there would be blocked by further tail/tentacles. This is where I switched to skeletal, you can see ribs on the left of the image, and the guts at the base of the tentacles.
The tails have lots of points of articulation, I like starting from the tip and working back, doing them one by one to get varied curls, twists and grasping motions.
Used the body and theme paintsets to do it quick, but then went in and used 'guts' on the guts.
Painting the other parts of the tentacles, I used 'guts' on the underside of the tail, gums for the main part, and rotting bone for the spines here.
Rear/side showing the torso and head. Can be further obscured, or just hidden by positioning if using for 2D image. If printing from STL, could probably be snipped/sawed/sanded if you wanted.
Here are mine, in order of when I created their character sheets.
Dragonborn Paladin Ranger He/Him
Dragonborn/Darkborn Barbarian He/Him
Dragonborn Rogue He/It
Dragonborn Ranger (To be made with Fizban's Treasury of Dragons) They/Them
A little about each one.
Tuultecnijeal Jarlasar (Tut-Eec-ni-jeel Ja-la-sar) Lost his arm attacking a dragon trapped in a human body, the battle made him lose his right arm, so he found a creature of shadow who made him a new arm, resulting in the growth of another finger.
Uummondideas Jargrax (UUUm-on-did-e-as Jar-gra-ax) Is from another plane, ruled by demons (similar to the one Jarlasar met). If he gets angry enough he becomes a Darkborn, growing 8 feet tall and becoming demonic looking. He seeks to destroy the demons who ruined his life.
Grainum Slyraw (Grain-e-um Sly-raw) Is my newest Dragonborn, not much is know about him, he has a cat that can tell the future by sucking out a minute of someone's life, her name is Avocado. Slyraw is the mayor of a town called Nightbrook, were Jarlasar lives with his family. He was born missing his left hand and a finger, but he can attach a pick-pocket tool to the metal plating on his stump.
Kosho Erador (Ko-show Err-a-door) Will be made with Fizban's Treasury of Dragons. He has a pet raven (name and gender undecided). He used to have a tail. And currently he is living outside of Nightbrook with a human named Ozera Kikyo.
Oh my gosh, I spend so much time playing around with this, and yet most of my characters are nowhere near what I've seen in this thread, mostly because I don't have the patience to explore all of the advanced options. Before I show off anything I've made, I have a couple of questions:
a) Has anyone tried Hero Forge both on mobile and desktop, and am I crazy to think that desktop works significantly better?
b) Help a newbie out: is there a way to fiddle with some advanced settings to make a character look like she is wearing a key on a string around her neck as a pendant? I know a key exists among the items in the Gear section, but when I added it, I found that it is an oversized key meant to be smashed into an enemy's head, and what I need is a normal-sized key. It's important to the story, the mini feels lackluster without it.
Thanks in advance!
1. Yes, Heroforge is optimized for desktop.
2. No, unfortunately.
You can use neck items and fingers to make it look like a small key with a bit of posing.
I have been waiting for the customized color option to come out of beta and now i am having so much fun with it!
I have Desi, my rich kid rogue who maybe dressed a bit too gaudy for her role.
And i decided to do her friend Paex, the changeling paladin who unlike Desi, choose to look as normal as possible.
And then lastly my lovely Shadow sorcerer- who i have not had a chance to play yet. she has way more scars in reality which i could not portray, but she still turned out quite well.
Air genasi genie bladelock (Just need to wait for them to add markings to imitate the glowing lines which genasi have). This is a backup character in case my EK dies.
High elf arcane trickster. This character actually has a detailed backstory and I'm waiting for a campaign from lvl 1 to play her:
Edit: I have no clue how to post images.
Hero Forge has now added decals for every one, you should be able to find what you need in the decal section.
My creation is my character Prince Ink Furborne Demone (who I just call by his first name, Ink) He is an OC of mine as well as a D&D character I use. His appearance is based off of my Minecraft skin. Here he is:
This one is called: Clullhloo, the kinda okay, getting a little older one.

"Saint" Orryn was once a Paladin of the Silver Flame; now after disobeying an order to kill an innocent child and defeating his former brothers in honourable combat he's become a sword for hire in order to provide for said child.
I haven't quite explored all of the functions/options on Hero Forge, so I'm pretty sure there is a way to do this and I just missed it, but how do you make a character with heterochromia (different colored eyes)?

That's not hard at all, though a little limited unlike anything else on the figure. Click the eye icon, select the color and just dab it onto the eye you want. Click for the next color and repeat. The first eye you need to make sure, deft touch, that you're only coloring one eye, and from there you're good.
I think you're only limited to the colors in the "eye" menu for irises, however if you want non-whites or hematoma, you can apply other colors on those eyeballs. Just checked through it to make sure it worked like I remembered (I have at least one figure in my hero collection's that got two different eye colors).
Mirage Over Burning Sands ('Mira'), a tabaxi wizard I hadda cook up in the space of 'bout eighteen hours when another character for an upcoming game fell through hard. Heh, but honestly? I'm jazzed to see how Kitty Wizard holds up, it's one of those combinations you just don't think of when working on characters.
And now for a double! Because I totally forgot that we're also working on spooling up an Eberron game, and I get to do something wild in that one. Spoilers, because there's a lot more of this one thatn there is for Mira.
Mistletoe, a.k.a. 'Misty', an Umbragen Watcher paladin from the subterranean vaults of Xen'drik. Cast across space after a raid that went super bad super quick on one ov the dalekyr Valaara's reality-devouring hive worms, Misty found herself in Khorvaire - quite possibly the only drow on the entire continent, and often mistaken for a Mourning-corrupted demon. Alone in a mostly hostile land, captured by the Brelish authorities, and corrupted by her maddening "adventures" in seeking escape from the Deepest Hive, whatever is a poor little elf girl to do...
Thanks to Fnaf Security Breach, I want to create a young Halfling Battlesmith Artificer with his Bear Automaton Iron Defender that gained a strange quirk of acting like a father figure with a desire to protect the boy and give him encouragement while on their travels. So here are the figures I made in Hero Forge of them, I'm quite proud of how they turned out actually.
