Agreed. The fact that WotC bought out DnDBeyond is a good thing. They have a ton of resources at their disposal so they can double or triple the development team on this tool if they really want to. That might mean that these issues that have been lingering around for 5+ years (like this one) might get fixed sooner.
Hey! I've been using the site for a little over a year and I really like it. Big fan.
Now, sorry if this has been posted before, but there's one little thing I think is missing in the Divine Sorcerer character sheet. I searched the forums first but didn't find anything.
A Divine Soul Sorcerer gets the Divine Spell feature and the description says:
"...In addition, choose an affinity for the source of your divine power: good, evil, law, chaos, or neutrality. You learn an additional spell based on that affinity, as shown below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list."
This suggests that the spell can be swapped at higher levels for any cleric spell but that option seems to be missing.
I don't really think it's a big deal at all, since you can use the customize option but that makes any spell you copy/paste in the notes field appear as a Lvl.1 spell... *breathes heavily*
As I was saying, I KNOW this is a tiny thing but it's crushing my soul the same way elevators sometimes take forever to start moving once you press the button so just posting here to see if maybe someone can relate or is aware and hopefully looking into it.
Edit: I'm not sure if this thread belongs here or in the feedback section. Sorry if I got it wrong.
This is STILL an issue on my Aberrant Mind Sorc and I haven't been able to get an answer
DND Beyond has a major overhaul coming to it's homebrew system, which apparently may include a lot of small, class-specific issues like this and for the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer. However, Wizards of the Coast bought them out so they really haven't said how that will affect these plans. Since DND Beyond never gives exact dates for features or fixes, no one really knows when issues like this will be fixed. It could be fixed next week or 20 years from now. Unfortunately, that means the community has to rely on workarounds until this is fixed. We may never get an update on this until if/when this is finally fixed.

Here is a video walkthrough on how to fix the Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul with homebrew:
PS- You can implement a simple workaround for the Divine Soul fairly easily using the Homebrewer. (It'll take less than 5 minutes with a slow internet connection.):
Paste the subclass' intro into both the Description and Short Description fields, and select “Cleric” from the dropdown labeled “Additional Spell List,” then [SAVE CHANGES].
Click “Edit” for the Divine Magic feature.
Where it shows that feature has the 5 initial Options, [ADD AN OPTION].
Name the Option something like "Affinity Spell Replacement;" in the Description field enter something similar to the suggested text below; set the Required Class Level to "2;" [CREATE OPTION]. • "Whenever you gain a sorcerer level you can choose one sorcerer spell you know and replace it. If you choose your affinity spell for replacement, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list and of a level for which you have spell slots."
In the "Spells" section of your new Option, [ADD A SPELL]. Only enter the following information in the designated fields/dropdowns and complexly ignore absolutely everything else: • Spell Class: Cleric • Level Divisor: 2 • Consumes Spell Slot: Yes • Counts As Known: No • [SAVE]
Then [SAVE CHANGES] for the Option, followed by the Feature, and finally for the whole Subclass.
Do anything you wish to kill the next 20 minutes, and then check your results on a character sheet.

Come back here and lemme know if there are any issues.
Bumping this. It has come up in multiple games, but this is a known issue that has been around for more than 4 years...
Edit: Also, as a tip, I tried the tutorial above, and noticed one issue: when you create the class from the template, it apparently doesn't always autopopulate the option for Divine Soul sorcerer to be able to pick spells from the cleric list normally. So make sure to add that option on the subclass. Other than that, seems to work great!
I actually just took the opportunity to mention this and some similar issues like this in the unearthed arcana survey. I do not think that WOTC and Hasbro have any idea how many implementation problems like this exist in the site. The idea that they are going to be able to implement One D&D AND fix any of their giant backlog, AND create a VTT feels like watching a truck drive towards a brick wall.
Oh, I’m fairly certain they have abandoned any and all attempts to fix any of the preexisting problems around here and are just focusing on the VTT and 1DD/R5e. After all, why waste resources on a product that will be discontinued in a year?
I hope that you are right. I don't expect this or pretty much anything to be fixed. I think the basic question is whether they plan on launching 1DD on top of the existing system, or if they plan on building it new. Its more complicated because 1DD is still being designed so their must be significant limits on the dndbeyond build side. I would be shocked if dndbeyond was capable of giving honest answers internally about how long it will take them to implement 1DD, and certainly they are unlikely to be honest about how completely it will be implemented. The fact is that dndbeyond is known for underpaying their programmers (its why their hq is Huntsville). The problem with hiring cheap programmers is that no one internally is in a position to understand and explain why they are bad. The underpaid people are struggling to keep their jobs and the people who supervise them need to justify their positions.
What's unusual is that, if you share comments about this via the unearthed arcana surveys, you have the ability to tell people who are depending on dndbeyond's implementation about the situation. Doing so as consumers gives them the cover they need to share the information with the people who hold the purse strings as "well, this is what the customers are saying". As opposed to reporting it to Dndbeyond via the forums where we are literally asking the people we are complaining about to tell their bosses that we think their jobs are not going well. I know that the unearthed arcana comments are read carefully. If we can raise their level of concern about how dndbeyond is going to be able to implement the new rules, this can only help.
You are spot on. There are problems that have been setting for 5 plus years needing to be fixed that haven't been touched. Really wish Hero Labs would have gotten the license beyond SRD

Would very much appreciate this issue being addressed! Thanks!

It is still an issue. In the meantime, you can use the Homebrew system to get around it. I wrote a guide to doing that here.
