Pretty much as the title says, I made a homebrew item and am trying to add this to my character but for some reason when I go to add it to equipment I get a message saying unable to equip. I have homebrew content enabled on the character, and can find the item, just cannot add it. Any ideas
It seems there are a few people on here dealing with this issue. I had a Homebrew item on my sheet and updated its description. The updated description didn't publish on my sheet, so I thought, "Oh, I probably just need to take it out and put it back in my Equipment." Then I couldn't. When I search for it in the Add Items menu I can see it, but clicking Add pops up a dialogue box that said Equipment Not Added: [name of item] cannot be added to your inventory.

Itisko Mystan (Bronze Dragonborn Blood Hunter, CoS, Campaign fizzled out) • Greyson Cadere (Fallen Aasimar Grave Cleric, LMoP, died at the hands of brain puppies and buff octodads)• Aiden Mystralath (Half-elf Bladesinger, Homebrew, Campaign fizzled out) • Thrumveor, the Keeper (Blue Dragonborn Tempest Cleric, Homebrew)
I'm kinda hoping a mod makes a post here saying that they've informed the team, whether or not it's been fixed yet? I haven't heard anything myself, and it's getting close to 5pm EST.

Hello everyone, apologies for the issue - the team have made an update which should resolve the issue of adding Homebrew magic items to character sheets. I ran a quick test on the OP's player character (JuliaWoberts - you should see the TET: Awakened on the player's sheet, which was me confirming it added).
If you have the character sheet open already, I'd recommend refreshing the page, but otherwise we should be good to go!

I refreshed my page and it's working now! Thank you for the quick fix. (Though let's see if anyone has any lingering issues.)

I have homebrew content on and public sharing on for item
Is it that it doesn't show up when you search for it to add to Inventory, or is it there but shows an error message "Not Added" when you try to add it?

FYI: You never need to publish your homebrew just to use it. In fact, it’s better to not publish it until after it’s fully playtested because once it’s published you can no longer edit it if it doesn’t work.
You likely need to “wake up” your character sheet to force it to update its cache. Add and remove Inspiration or equipment and refresh the browser page.
I reported the issue to the mods in the hopes that they can let the devs know more quickly that this is going on and affecting basically everybody.

I am experiencing this, too. My characters, my player's characters, and even characters that already have homebrew items.

I'm dealing with this too. I think a lot of other people are dealing with this as well. I was about to make a thread for it.

Joining the chorus and saying mine aren't working either. I think a single case of this got solved, then they realized it's a bigger problem.

Just going to add myself to the list to get updates. I created an item for one of my players but when I try to add it to their character it says no.
