I have a player who has built a divine soul sorcerer, and the class feature says that he can replace the spell when he levels up with a spell from the cleric spell list, but I cannot find a way to remove the spell from his character sheet. I tried to edit his character and switch the option from the "Good" selection to the "Choose an option" selection, thinking this would free up a learned spell, but it did not. He really wants continual flame instead of cure wounds, but i can't figure it out. Does anyone know how to do this?
My current fix is choosing Cure Wounds and then replacing it with Healing Word with the customize name. It shows a d8+mod, but i can remember its a d4 :). Obviously completely still want a fix. As well as the fact that the spell doesnt appear on your spell list when looking at your spells from the builder.
I would also love to see this fixed. There are other such small subclass related options implemented that are really beneficial, like selecting your Hex Weapon. Would like to ditch the sticky note and have an accurate spell list in Beyond.
To fix this issue (among others) they had to redesign the character sheet from the ground up. It took almost a year, but they did that and are ironing out the wrinkles now. Fixing all of this stuff is next up on the list.
No, not yet. They are working on a big fix for a whole bunch of stuff, I think it’s due out either later this year or early next? I don’t remember exactly and I only tune in to the updates periodically, I don’t watch it ever week.
PS- You can implement a simple workaround for it yourself fairly easily using the Homebrewer. (It'll take less than 5 minutes with a slow internet connection.):
Paste the subclass' intro into both the Description and Short Description fields, and select “Cleric” from the dropdown labeled “Additional Spell List,” then [SAVE CHANGES].
Click “Edit” for the Divine Magic feature.
Where it shows that feature has the 5 initial Options, [ADD AN OPTION].
Name the Option something like "Affinity Spell Replacement;" in the Description field enter something similar to the suggested text below; set the Required Class Level to "2;" [CREATE OPTION]. • "Whenever you gain a sorcerer level you can choose one sorcerer spells you know and replace it. If you choose your affinity spell for replacement, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list and of a level for which you have spell slots."
In the "Spells" section of your new Option, [ADD A SPELL]. Only enter the following information in the designated fields/dropdowns and complexly ignore absolutely everything else: • Spell Class: Cleric • Level Divisor: 2 • Consumes Spell Slot: Yes • Counts As Known: No • [SAVE]
Then [SAVE CHANGES] for the Option, followed by the Feature, and finally for the whole Subclass.
Do anything you wish to kill the next 20 minutes, and then check your results on a character sheet.

Come back here and lemme know if there are any issues.

It is still not implemented yet. I guess, although not sure 100%, that this will be only with the character sheet revamp.
Ok, thank you. Should this be something I request somewhere, or do you think I should just assume that it will be implemented.
The staff is aware of this issue, so I am pretty confident it will be implemented.

So, this is still a problem then? Or is it fixed and I just can't figure it out?
Sorry for necro...
Still seems to be a problem
Yes, i really hope this gets fixed soon. Its been a problem for many years now.
Is this still being looked into?

Still following...
as this will make things way better on changing this spell out.
I thought I was just not seeing where/how to do it. I guess its kind of comforting to know it wasn't me?
It still does not work as far as I can tell.
