Hello. This is a question primarily for the developers, managers, and administrators of D&D Beyond. I wanted to know if there was some way to digitally access content that one has purchased physically from Wizards of the Coast? I have already purchased several 5e books, and I'm not too keen on paying those same prices twice (I don't have a lot of money...). I was curious if there was some way that I could prove that I legally own those books and then gain access to the digital versions.
If that isn't the case, and one has to purchase the D&D Beyond digital material, then is there some way that I can manually enter in material onto the character sheet? So let's say I want to make a firbolg barbarian who is of the outlander background and I choose the Path of the Ancestral Guardian for him. Could I make a blank character sheet and manually enter the race, background, and class information on the blank sheet? I saw that there was a "Custom" option for background that could be used that way, but I didn't see that for anything else. Would it have to be written in as "Homebrew" content but set as private? Is that a thing? I'm still relatively new to the site and haven't used it much, so I don't know all the ins and outs yet.
Thank you for any feedback.
EDIT: I am not completely unable to pay up to $10 for content relevant to my characters. If I do that, it would be for a character I am intent on playing for a long time, which I have one who fits that criteria. I just want to know if the above are options first.
I have moved your post to the support forum, as that's the place for posts asking for assistance or information. With regards your question - there is no way to redeem physical purchases to access digital content on D&D Beyond, sorry! There's a good post on the differences and why this isn't possible by one of our users here.
That said, the team at D&D Beyond understand and want to make it as easy as possible to access the content you need.
If you're looking to build a specific character, you can purchase just the race/class that you need for that character for only a few dollars on the marketplace. If you later decide to upgrade your purchase to the full rulebook that it came from, you don't lose out - the amount paid for the race/class is deducted from the cost of purchasing the whole book.
You are also able to use the homebrew tools at no cost - absolutely free! If you wish to enter information from your purchased physical books, then go right ahead and do so - you're welcome to use the tools and create that content for your own use (or those you share with in a campaign). The only thing we ask is that you don't publish homebrew of the content from the D&D books - that's an infringement of copyright and will be reported and removed.
I was reading the Buyer's Guide thread (I don't know why I didn't go there first...) and I saw that was an option. I would be correct in assuming that homebrew content can be made private? Or is it already private by default? Because I don't want to violate any copyright agreements through misuse of the homebrew toolset, even if it's accidental.
EDIT: Okay, so what my understanding is that it is private by default and has to be published in order to be public. That's good to know. Thank you all for your time.
I purchased an individual item from Tasha's Caulrdon of Everything digitally instead of buying the entire manual, and I am not sure where to find that purchase. Can someone give me a step by step?

It is not possible to redeem a digital purchase with a physical one.
However, it is possible to use the homebrew toolset to replicate any content you desire for private use.

It's already private by default. :)
For those users who create original content and wish to share it with the community, there's a PUBLISH button that does so.

I purchased an individual item from Tasha's Caulrdon of Everything digitally instead of buying the entire manual, and I am not sure where to find that purchase. Can someone give me a step by step?
What did you purchase?
Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
Quicksilver & The Scarlet Witch - A pair of magical firearms for your Gunslinger or Artificer.
I purchased one single portion of the Tasha guide. Specifically the Twilight Domain.
You can find that info now included under the Cleric page. It will now be visible for you there.
