I ran an encounter against Shadows, in which one of my PCs were continually attacked, reducing his strength score to 2. However no matter what I've done, the character creater and sheet will only allow it to drop to 3?
I know that's the lowest you can roll a stat, but even overriding the score just sets it back to 3
How to do that exactly? I am having a similar problem: my character is under the effect of the Feeblemind spell, witch sets my Intelligence and Charisma scores to 1. The problem is that when I go and create a Magic Item to simulate the effect, I can't find a way to change or overwrite the restriction of going below 3.
I know there is an option to you add "Modifier -> Modifier Type: Bonus -> Modifier Subtype:Ability Score Maximum" but I don't seem to find anywhere an Ability Score Minimum to alter, please help.
| MODIFIER| DICE ROLL| PRIMARY STAT | FIXED VALUE | | Bonus - Wisdom Score | | | 2 | | Bonus - Ability Score Maximum | | WIS | 2 | <----- (Incrising the Maximum from 20 to 22 of an Ability Score)
What I take out of all this is that you need somehow to modify the Ability Score Minimum of you character in a certain ability score, but I checked all the options of SET, BONUS and many others and cant find it.
EDIT: Also tried Bonus - Ability Score Maximum with a negative modifier, such as -9 and -10, did not work
It seems that characters are coded as having a minimum of 3 in stats, possibly due to stats being rolled on 3d6? I don't know - it's something that will need an answer from staff.

I believe that as well, and it seems that not even Magic Items can alter that at the moment.
After you save the modifier, then you must re-save the whole homebrew. It could take up to 20 minutes for the system to push changes to the character sheet. If it doesn’t work, I don’t know what to tell you.

Any fixes?
You can try with a homebrew magical item.

You need to use Set as the modifier type.
Those are the Modifiers of my item at this moment, and they are not lowering the stat below 3:
| MODIFIER | DICE ROLL | PRIMARY STAT | FIXED VALUE |
| Set - Charisma Score | | CHA | 1 |
| Set - Intelligence Score | | INT | 1 |
Those are the Modifiers of the Tome of Understanding official magic item:

| Bonus - Wisdom Score | | | 2 |

My problem is for instance you roll the minimum 3 for a stat, orc has a -2 intelligence but still won't drop below 3, and same for kobalds on strength
Try making a magic item with the following modifier:
“Modifier—>Bonus,” “Modifier Subtype—>Ability Score Maximum,” “Fixed Value: -19”

Just posting so I can find this later if I need to
@IamSposta ...
Tried with this, but both still get reset to 3 ... do you have a working example?
Life's hard - get a helmet!
The minimum possible for a PC to roll on 3d6 is 3. The DDB system has a glitch which always resets it to 3 until they fix that. 🤷♂️

Nope, that doesn't seem to work either.
I tried with both Cha as Primary Stat and without.

I didn't realize that it can take up to 20 minutes for the system to catch up. That is good information to have😀
Just circling back and ensuring some old threads are updated - this was resolved.

Thank you Stormknight
How was this resolved? I still can't roll 6d20 to generate stats, then slap 2 20s and 2 1s in there for my very unique character.
I gotta override that and I believe that limits choice. Kinda silly tbh.
