I'm a bit confused about who's able to view my homebrew monsters.
I have a Master Tier subscription, if that helps. Right now, three of my players have created characters in my campaign via D&D Beyond.
I've created several monsters but have not published them to the DDB community at large. When I view my Homebrew Creations page, they're all listed as "Private, Never Submitted."
So can my players see the monsters? If they can, is there a way to prevent that?
All homebrew that is in your collection, is automatically shared within a campaign that you are a part of (either as DM or Player).
If you have created any homebrew that you do not wish shared, you can remove it from your collection page.
Your creations page is a list of all homebrew that you have created and you can, at any time you like, add any of your homebrew creations to your collection, so that they are shared within a campaign.
By default any homebrew you create is added to both pages.
i have a situation as the OP. I have a Master Tier subscription. A player has created a character in my campaign via D&D Beyond and I have campaign sharing on. I've created several monsters but have not published them to the DDB community at large. When I view my Homebrew Creations page, they're all listed as "Private, Never Submitted." However, they are all in my collection, so I would think the player would be able to see but he can only see the publicly published monsters, none of mine. In this case I want my player to have access to these creations as they are sidekicks for his main character.
If you go on their character sheet and hit “extras” you should be able to add the monster to their character sheet and then they should be able to view it.

Thank you for the help. However, this doesn't really solve my problem because they can only see the stat block as a sidebar on their character sheet and cannot manipulate it or use Beyond20 to roll in Roll20 by clicking on the stat block. Also, it seems a very odd way to handle this.
On a different post someone told me that I can just send the URL of the homebrew and then they can access it directly. This works and also allows use of Beyond20 and Roll20. However, the verbiage under when I create a homebrew monster implies is it shared by all players in my campaign automatically and this is clearly not the case. So, there is a solution but I had to go digging for it and D&D Beyond could either implement a better solution or have more accurate and clear verbiage.
However, I am really enjoying D&D Beyond and this was a minor annoyance.
Beyond20 is a 3rd party browser extensions neither associated with or approved by DDB. In fact, they strongly recommend not using it because it causes problems. The other reason they advise against it is because using anything (like Beyond20) to export from DDB to anywhere else (like Roll20) is I direct violation of the terms of service we agree to when we signed up for DDB. Technically, anyone who uses Beyond20 could have their account closed and all product licenses revoked without refund for violating those terms of service.
