Okay, sorry I am new to this. I pay for the master sub, and i shared the content with my group. How do they access the Content.
In the character builder and on the character sheet. They can also read the sourcebooks under the Sources tab at the top of the screen, and view the individual content pieces under the Rules tab.
Yes, each master tier sub can activate content sharing with a maximum of 5 campaigns. However, if someone else in the campaign activates content sharing then you can still share your content.
Sorry to comment on an old board, but I am a player in my friend's campaign, and I have gotten the DM subscription and have enabled content sharing. How does she (the DM) access the books I bought? Do I just send her the DND Beyond link and it won't ask her to buy it anymore or how do I make sure she can access it, if that makes sense?

If you have enabled content sharing, then that should be all that needs doing. They should simply now be able to access every book that you and everyone else in the campaign has purchased automatically. You and your DM might need to make sure that your Account Entitlements are in sync just to reset the system to recognize that you’re sharing your content with her, which you can do here: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace), but that should be it, and most of the time even that isn’t necessary.
Hang on. What if I've just bought the book? Not the subscription. I've just paid for the book and digital copy.
Do I have to have a subscription to share the books with my players?
Yes. Somebody in the campaign needs a master subscription and to turn on content sharing, at which point everybody's books will be shared within the campaign.
Content Sharing is from the DM to any player in a Campaign. If you are a player in someone else's campaign, your content is not shared. Only the DM's content is shared.

This is incorrect. Everybody's content is shared.
These are BOTH incorrect. The only requirements for sharing content are:
The person sharing the content be part of that Campaign;
The person sharing the content have a Master tier monthly subscription;
The person sharing the content enables content sharing within that campaign
The person sharing the content can only do so in up to 5 (five) campaigns at once;
I do not know if multiple people can enable content sharing into a single campaign, but only the people who meet the above 4 requirements will share their books, not everyone. And the person sharing the books does not have to be the GM.

Enabling Content Sharing for a campaign means that any content unlocked by any participant (player or DM) within that campaign is able to be used for items or character creation within the campaign!
The person sharing the content have a Master tier monthly subscription;
A person does not need Master Tier subscription to share content as long as someone else turns on content sharing.
Content Sharing is a button/toggle that anyone with Master Tier subscription can enable.
Player A can have Master Tier subscription and have no content purchased; Player B can have all content purchased but not subsciption; and GM can have no subscription nor content; as long as all three are in and creating stuff within the same campaign, and Player A turns on content sharing, Player B's content will be shared with everyone.

I'm trying to understand this. If this is true, then why is the DM the only one with control over WHAT is being shared? The players do not have that option.

The campaign owner only sort of has control -- they can prevent access to the book texts, but not the character builder stuff.
I'd assume the main reason it's all in the hands of the DM is that they're the one who is assumed to have books that the players shouldn't read. (And I suspect that giving everyone control over just their own stuff may be more than the back-end can sort out, and there are definitely also corner cases when more than one person has a book.)

So I tested this theory and it doesn't work that way. I have a Master Tier membership, as does the DM for the campaign in which I'm a player. He is NOT in any of my campaigns that has Content Sharing enabled. His campaign DOES have content sharing. He, however, does NOT have access to my books because he is not a player in my campaign. As a player in his campaign, I DO have access to his books.
So, as I said before, players have access to the DM's books if content sharing is enabled in that campaign. Players' content is not shared with everyone in that same campaign.

As long as Content Sharing is on, everyone in the campaign should have access to everyone else's stuff in the character builder, as well as to all their books (unless the GM turns off certain books to prevent spoilers).
Try turning Content Sharing off and back on, and have everyone resync their entitlements. You can also try recreating the campaign and see if that works. If that still does not fix the issue, then you may want to submit a bug report. Keep in mind there is a giant backlog of tickets right now, so if there is a bug or glitch, do not expect it to be fixed anytime soon.

This is news to me and solved my issues of not being able to share content. I had no idea that the campaign limit was 5.
Thank you!
Do the non master subscribers need the hero subscription in order to get the shared content or can they access to it without any subscription?
This does not occur on my latest campaign. is there a LIMIT?
