Is there anyway to edit magic items you've created? I was able to equip my homebrew item I created, but didn't give the +2 AC boost th the character page like intended. I'm assuming I filled somthing out wrong, no big deal as I am still learning how to use the awesome tool set. But unfortunately I cant seem to find a way to edit, or even delete the item I created. I am missing somthing? Or have these features not been implemented yet.
Speaking of, has anyone else had the issue of trying to delete content from your collection only to get a pop-up error?
dropbear,
That's a known issue and will be fixed before launch. The ability to add public homebrew to your collection will be tied to having a sub, and is wired in to the marketplace which is not publicly available yet. However, currently, we add any of your own creations into your collection automatically for you because we wanted to be able to show off part of the 'collection' page. I'll try to fix that 403 this week with some other deploys we will have going out.
A new item does not replace an old version when it has been published.
The reason for this is simple: if someone else on the site is using it, they don't want the owner to randomly overwrite it.
Instead a new version is added to your collection and you can remove old versions from your collection. The newest version is the one in the overview of all homebrew stuff with older versions displayed as a table on the detail page.
The system is functioning as designed. You cannot edit published items (as explained in the Homebrew Rules & Guidelines)
Please note that once you have published a homebrew creation, it cannot be removed. Once published, the creation can only be updated via the “Create new version” option.
This is to prevent users from publishing homebrew and then editing it, resulting in any of the following:
Changing the way an item works, resulting in characters using that item being modified against their users wishes (Say you add a homebrew wonderous to your monk that gives +2 AC. The creator then changes this item to be armour, disabling your monks key features without you knowing)
Breaking the item mechanically and thus breaking the character sheets of any character using the item (this happens a lot with unpublished homebrew items messing up character sheets)
Adding unsuitable content to a homebrew item after it has been published and added to other users collections
If you wish to update your homebrew, you can make a new version and then publish that. It will replace the old version in the homebrew listings (with the previous version being shown in, and accessible from, the version history), but will not affect any character sheet or collection that has the old version.

Thanks!
If your item has been published, you can't delete it, but you can create a new version of it.
If it's something that has been published you need to create a new version. You can equip your own homebrew without publishing as well.

It has not been published, I'm also have g trouble finding the item. It would be nice to have a section called "My Homebrew Items".
Hi Martinez_530,
you can access this page a number of ways - my preferred is through clicking on HOMEBREW CREATIONS on the MY CONTENT menu (see below).

When you create a new version of an item, does it automatically replace the old version?
Bump. I'd like to know that too -- is the old version replaced? If not, do they both exist? How do you tell the old from the new?
Hello from 2022. This is still a damn problem.
