Friends is in the Player's Handbook, not the basic rules, so if you don't have access to that book, or have bought just the friends spell, it won't show up.
this is probably my biggest complaint, which is the way individual content purchases interact isn't very clear at first look.
I purchased the Bloodline of Fierna Tiefling variant for my new lvl 5 character.
In the spell list, it shows that I know Charm Person and Suggestion. They are listed as "Legacy of Phlegethos" in the sub-line.
However the Friends Cantrip is not showing up on the character sheet.
What gives?
I've just made a Fierna Tiefling and the friends cantrip is showing up fine for me

Probably what Houligan said.
Gotcha. That makes sense, though still frustrating.
Thanks
