Hello, I found a homebrew class that I wanted to play as but when I was adding it on D&DBeyond, it gave me this message: It's supposed to be a Fighter subclass. "This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
Remember, private homebrew is automatically shared with other users in your campaigns and does not need to be shared with the community for players to access.
"
First, I don't want to share, since it's not my creation and don't want to take credit for it. Secondly, I went to the subclasses tutorial (https://dndbeyond.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013188913-Subclasses-Tutorial-) and changed all the features of the class to fit the levels (ie, had a feature at 17 and 20 and changed them to 18 to fit the Fighter class), and it STILL gives me the message. I have clicked "Save Changes" everywhere too. Idk why it's not letting me, and also I find it lame that I can't just create a CLASS and not a SUBclass, or at least a subclass without the restrictions of the features only allowed to be at certain levels.
If you don't wish to publish this homebrew (which you shouldn't as it's someone else's creation), then you can just ignore that message - it won't prevent it functioning for you. 😊
We recently fixed a bug where the Fighter homebrew subclasses were not saved if they did not have a feature for level 5. That was incorrect because fights don't have subclass features at level 5. We've fixed it and everything should be fine and working as expected now.
I'm sorry about the inconvenience and please let us know if you experience any other problems.

So, please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

"We got this, no problem! I'll take the twenty on the left - you guys handle the one on the right!"🔊
So then how do I use it? I keep going to my character and I don't see the class, nor when I select Fighter, I don't see an option to select it either.
Is the character at 3rd level? That's when fighters pick their subclass.
Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
Quicksilver & The Scarlet Witch - A pair of magical firearms for your Gunslinger or Artificer.
If your character is third level, make sure you have homebrew turned on for that character.
