Seriously, the Ranger in the player handbook is crap, Tashas fixes this. Making people pay $30 for the whole of Tashas to fix a mistake the player did not make is amoral. Do the right thing give the ranger part for free.

It's not D&D Beyonds job to give away a perceived fix to something that another company made. This is the equivalent of walking into a bookstore and demanding they tear out the relevant pages from TCoE and let you walk out the door with them. I'm willing to bet you're not brazen enough to do that, so don't do it with digital material either.

Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
I am talking about one thing, which I would Happily pay 2 or 3 dollars for. But not 30, I will just play a Different character or not use D&D beyond. I only use it because my DM dose.
Okay, so I bought the Ranger optional features from Tasha's, enabled optional class features on my ranger, and...nothing. The Options Manager still says I have no options and sends me to the Marketplace.
To get the optional features to work, you have to buy all of Tasha's, not just a part of the book (sucks). Did you do that? Your comment makes it sound like you bought just part of the book.
Then what the heck did I purchase? I can't actually see any of the text of Tasha's, so I have to go to third-party sites to read about the Ranger and Druid options I bought. The new Druid circles show up as options for my Druid. But to get the Ranger options I paid for I have to buy the whole book? That's...nonsensical. Why is only Ranger punished this way?
It sounds like maybe subclasses. You can double check by going here and scrolling down to the Current Product Licenses section. The 'From Source' column will let you find what you purchased out of Tasha's. The new Druid circles you mention are separate from the optional rules, they're just new subclasses. There were similarly new Ranger subclasses. The optional features may be usable by any subclass, not just the new subclasses introduced in the book, so you can buy just a Druid subclass, and play that subclass, but to let it use the optional rules for druids, you'd have to buy the whole book. It's a royal pain that you can't purchase just the optional features without buying the whole book (I guess because it's spread out across multiple chapters and there's enough tied together that letting you buy just optional for 1 class is too complex for their overloaded backend systems to handle).
Ah, I guess that makes sense. My ranger's only 2nd level, so I haven't seen the subclass options yet. Presumably there are now more than just the two from the PH. It's still pretty silly to make people purchase the whole shebang in order to get the ranger options - they really should be available separately, as you say.

Yes, if you don't have a character at the level that the optional class features are offered in, you won't see them. But you also have to individually turn each optional feature on. You can do that as shown below.
On the side note of optional class features being a separate feature for purchase from Tasha's, I would agree that it should be that way. I don't think ranger should be free as some others have suggested, but it should be separate from anything else in Tasha's and not requiring everything from the book to gain access to. But since it's been out for so long, I doubt they will change it now.
how do I get the new Ranger Optional Features from Tashas Cauldron of Everything, on the Character Creation.
-buy Tasha's here on DDB (or have access to it through content sharing)
-turn on optional class features on the Home tab of the character builder
-On the class tab of the character builder, click on "Options Manager" and choose the options you want

It would be great if these were purchasable individually.

.
Not a full class, subclasses only. Which makes implementing the optional ranger features that way nearly impossible.
