Wizards of the coast posted a new class (artificer) and it hasn't been added to the site, are their plans to add this and other future classes as they come out?
Once they push out another UA with artificer, it'll be put on up the site! From what badeye said in his announcement, UA content will be added a week after it's published by WotC from this point on.

The last UA with the artificer class was published Jan. 9, 2018, but it's still not on the site. Does anyone know why?

The School of Invention Wizard subclass was released in January 2018, not the artificer class (unless you have a link to an Unearthed Arcana I don't know about and couldn't find when I went looking to double check??) The School of Invention IS available here.
My bad, I must not have the right date. Still, I'm still fairly confident that the artificer UA has been published for more than a week, but I still can't find it.
It's not on WOTC's list of unearthed Arcana articles. When I searched I did find some third party revisions to the UA artificer that were released this year. This one, for example. Maybe you saw one of those and thought is was an official release?
I think I saw this one, and I clearly don't know if it's official or not. I'm just wanting to make an artificer, and I'd rather not have to revert to a pdf character sheet.

That IS an official Unearthed Arcana from Wizards of the Coast and is the original publication of the Artificer class.
Its is from 2016 however - this is retired playtest content.
Only CURRENT playtest material from Wizards of the Coast is going to be added to D&D Beyond - that means content from the start of 2018 onwards.
As Sorce says above, if WotC publish a new UA article with an updated Artificer class in for playtest, then this will be added to D&D Beyond.
Only Unearthed Arcana from January 2018 is available on D&D Beyond - this represents the current playtest rules.
Articles from prior to that are considered by Wizards of the Coast to have completed their playtest period.
The Artificer has shown to be pretty popular though, so I expect to see either an updated UA article with a new version, or for a new version to be published in a future rulebook.
Just the question in the title. I've got two in my game who are pretty upset everyone else has been able to switch over to dndbeyond while they've had to manage real sheets.
Public Mod Note
(Stormknight):
Post about Artificer on D&D Beyond moved to this existing thread
I have suggested adding 'blank' baseclasses (one for each hp base) to homebrew off for this purpose, or adding back the artificer baseclass for homebrew purposes only, but haven't received an official response yet....
This applies to other retracted classes like the ua revised ranger as well.
Disappointed that we finally get an Eberron book with all the races, yet still no artificer. Seriously thought that this would have been what they were waiting for.

Excellent, thank you very much!
i too would very much love the artificer class added, i'm the only player at my table unable to use dnd beyond.
Same here - I would love to continue using DDB but am unable to for the next campaign playing as an Artificer

Oh, okay. Thank you for explaining!
Is the playtest class Artificer not available on here?

you could always do what I did and "homebrew" it like I did and go to create a class and just copy and paste till they update the class
Except you can't overrule base class features .

I agree!
Mike mearls tweeted that the artificer will probably be in next month's ua.
Also, that the wfgte will be updated, including the adding of the artificer.
