Would love an option to view a basic physical appearance description of the monster. Having used Fight Club 5 for a lot of encounter planning in the past, its always nice when the color of a monster is available in app/site vrs having to flip and find them in the monster manual.
I've just started DMing in my living room for a small group, taking characters from the starter campaign into Hoard of the Dragon Queen. With limited space, and minimal equipment, I've really enjoyed the convenience of being able to open monsters in tabs on my laptop. Being able to hover over spells/skills/etc for more saves me a lot of hunting and page-turning as well! Really liking it so far.
Yeah, this is definitely a space saver for those without a ROOM to D&D in like we made in a rented house of college and military peeps. We had a 4x8 piece of plywood and a huge dry erase sheet to go on it with the grid. We could leave everything set up until the next game time. This was NOT the norm though. I wish tablets and digital reference tools had been a thing in the 90s with how much I moved and my varying space issues.

I have found this to be a very useful system thus far for analysis and monster analysis. I have played several previous additions of D&D but had not yet had the opportunity to get into 5th Edition, so looking through things makes it a very appealing system.
Monster sorting, filters, and search work well from the experimentation that I have done.
For the Kraken entry under languages there is a spelling error: says "but can't spe" which I assume should be "but can't speak"
After 2 weeks, error is still listed, just FYI. Not sure how often fixes are made.
Please build in a few custom filters for use when adapting creatures for a specific campaign. For instance, I may be playing in a Forgotten Realms campaign and I want Hill Giants to be associated only with The Savage North with a frequency of uncommon. That way, I can filter specific regions of my campaign world for specific monsters. There are some great tables along these lines that were provided in the Elminster's Ecologies boxed set. By adding in these properties now it will make rules customization much easier when we get to that aspect. Specifically I would like to be able to filter by location and location frequency. This is the sort of thing which I'm really looking for in a tool like this.
I have found that around half of all the monsters seemed to be missing such as beholder, different gnoll types, pixies etc. You have begun to move into characters and am beginning to think they won't be added.
Also are monsters from other books such as Volo's guide to monsters and Tales from the yawning portal going to be added or will stay book specific? I would really love for a custom monster addition so I can add all the monsters from these books. (maybe a personal page where you can choose the homebrew you want and add it as well as your own.)

As it's been mentioned multiple times - for the Beta, only Monsters/Spells/Items/Rules that are found within the Basic Rules and SRD (the stuff that Wizards of the Coast provides for free) will be included. After the full launch, the rest of the content will be available through a payment/subscription method.
All this is great but I really wish for a bit more fluff texts about the monsters as appears in the MM and perhaps some kind of image to give the whole things a "I'm reading an online MM" feel. You guys are doing exceptional work.

We might get this in the live version when the MM is included and not just the SRD and basic rules. I like this idea as some good fluff helps the DM decide on if it is the monster they want to use or not. It can help give us ideas of how to fluff our own portrayal of it when the party comes upon it.

This may be a repeat, or possibly unworkable, but it would be nice to have a brief monster background (like the monster manual) as a clickable link while viewing stats. Also, the MM variants (caster Vampires for example) may be nice to add. Lastly and more obscure could be suggestions for monsters commonly seen together. For instance, Goblins may have a link to Bugbears or Wargs.
I only played up to ver 3.5 Years ago but this appears to cover nearly everything I threw at the campaign. Nicely done. I'm very much looking forward to the next phases.
I believe the picture for the Axe Beak is incorrect. It currently shows a group of dwarfs hiding under a clockwork machine. From my understanding an Axe Beak is a beast creature that resembles an ostrich with a big beak.
Just posted about Axe Beak but all the Beast pages I'm looking at show this same picture when I click on the View Details Page. Not sure if this is a under construction pic or an error. I could have sworn I've been able to view detail pages in the past that showed pictures of the monsters.

Some confusion on Challenge Levels for a few critters. Why are low HP fiends a higher rating than high HP mephits?

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
when filtering monsters, it would be useful to have swimming/ flying speed filters

Not sure if this has been mentioned - would be great to be able to filter "beasts" when searching monsters, for the Druid's Wild Shape feature.

The Modrons picture is the generic place-holder image we are currently using for monsters until more artwork is available. Thanks for the feedback!
I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.
Not all the artwork is available yet - some will be added in later. The image you are seeing is the standard placeholder image.
Edit: Apparently Hartless is responding instead of sleeping (wait, did we say Staff were allowed to sleep?), and responding faster than I can.
