Lair actions are a part of the Basic DM Guide monster details. It has been confirmed that they will be in for the beta. Staff is currently working on adding all of the Basic DM Guide details into the monster listing. Which includes a handful of additional monsters that weren't on the list previously.
Great! On a good point, even if not all in there yet, the monster listing is looking great and I like how it is setup. Should be easy to add from now on since the foundation is solid. Just takes time to pop things in there right and confirm it is correct.

One thing the 5e stat blocks omit but which can sometimes be helpful is the creature's proficiency bonus. For DMs who remix their monsters on the fly (swapping out weapon attacks, for example), it would be a nice little addition that saves from having to go find the Proficency Bonus By CR table every time (it could even be a mouseover on Challenge Rating).
In previous editions of D&D, books like the Monster Manual listed the illustration credits next to the pieces. This is sadly lacking in 5th. Since Beyond looks like it will be including illustrations for all of the monsters, it would be an added bonus if those illustrations also included a credit. It's a small thing, and perhaps of niche interest, but sometimes you see a piece of art and want to find that artist to see what else they've done.

FYI, we do have a ticket logged to add an artist attribution field for the images.
The entry for demiliches is missing (not sure if anyone has reported it yet) as is the one for aarakocra.
I think search results appearing for partial matches would help a lot-- or maybe a "suggested" results if your search criteria doesn't populate anything (especially helpful for those who might be blanking on the whole name of the creature or how to spell its name... ask any new player to spell something like otyugh, aarakocra or nalfeshnee and you'll see what I mean)
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available in the D&D 5th edition SRD and D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
Is it possible to add the monster tags to the tool tip/pop-up? For example, when you hover over Dretch, there is no indication in the pop-up that it's a demon. Having that info in the pop-up would be helpful.
Is it possible to have the first click on the monster be a picture and basic description first and than a second click to see stats? Not that you can prevent players now from looking, but at least put up a token barrier in case they want to look at just the picture for those of us that don't initially want the stats right there or any new players who don't already know the particulars of the beast. Or a separate view, players vs DM?
I'm sure that would be a thing that is possible, making an extra click before any stats show up.
But I have to levy my counter-vote to actually doing that, regardless of the perceived benefit of players that don't want to know the stats not seeing them, because anything that makes my standard use as a DM any less convenient is unwanted. And further, anyone not wanting to know the stats can just exercise a basic level of self-control and not pay attention to the stats while they are checking out pictures of monsters, plus the arbitrary and artificial separation of things into "player view" and "DM view" carries with it an increase to the perceived barriers to becoming a DM - which, for the sake of the health of the hobby and so that the number of new DMs is not in any way hindered from swelling, should be avoided.
Not to mention that implying some things in the rules content are only meant to be known by DMs creates the idea that someone who is a DM cannot or should not be a player, and as a DM that would really love getting to spend more time playing a PC in some campaigns, that is absolutely unbearable to me.

I think it would be really helpful if you could favorite or bookmark certain monsters so you could easily pull up their stats while running a session.
Great to know! Thanks so much for the info.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It'd be cool to see some of those examples put to use. Right on!
I would like a way to select multiple stat blocks to be selected for encounter management

I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.
Didn't think of the proficiency thing. Good idea to have that be in there or pop up somehow for ease of knowing without hunting a table down.
And I like the idea there will be an artist attribution field hopefully added with that ticket. ;)

Just wanted to let you know that the Homunculus shows an image of a Modron.
Great stuff though!
All the proper images will be updated at the final release, when all the artwork from WotC will be available. For now, we got a lot of modrons.
