I don't know if this goes here, if not, please point me in the right direction.
Recently one of my players, completely new to D&D, encountered when creating his character that there was no detail/explanation for Languages you choose.
I mean, sure, Gnomish = Gnome language. But it woulbe nice to have at least a phrase saying of where/what is each language, just after you select it.

Great point. For example, new players have no idea what the hell Primordial is. It would also help if descriptions came up in the sidebar when you tap languages on the character sheet. Just about everything else opens a detailed description, it’s actually jarring now that it doesn’t (just brings up a copy of the whole panel again??)
I have a few custom items that give you limited uses of certain spells (similar to a Wand of Magic Missiles). For all of these (including Wand of Magic Missiles), the charges can be marked off on the equipment page when you pull up the sidebar. However, from the spell page, when you click on the spell, there is no option to modify the spent/available charges. I feel that if you have access to a spell via an item, it would be nice if the sidebar popup gave you information about the spell itself as well as the information regarding the item that gave you the ability (including being able to refresh/modify charges). The way it is now, you need the spell page open to be able to read the spell description, but then you need to hop over to the equipment page to mark off that you used a charge.
Note that this is only fully true if the spell granted is a cantrip; spells with levels can be cast from the spell page and I think it will mark off the charges for you. In both cases however, unchecking a charge if you accidentally pressed it requires going to the equipment page.
Perhaps a bit late to this thread, but I'm new to D&D Beyond. Overall, I think it's awesome. But I do have a couple small suggestions to improve the character sheet.
First, when opening the sidebar, have the rest of the sheet shift to the opposite side just a bit. The sidebar currently overlaps the sheet just enough to make reading things that aren't otherwise in the sidebar hard to read or reference. For reference, this is occurring on a 15" macbook pro. Also occurs on my iPad in both portrait and landscape modes. I fully understand that this should be expected in portrait mode, but perhaps not in landscape.
Second point, and this might not be jsut a character sheet issue but that's where I noticed it, but allow for players to override the size category of a given race. I have a Changeling Barbarian who is actually small for backstory reasons, but can't actually make that override on the sheet.
In theory, this second point could be as simple as creating a rule that setting the size to small means speed -= 5 feet and any weapon with the "Heavy" tag = Disadvantage.

Setting the size to small should not automatically mean there is a -5 modifier to speed. Speed is completely separate and should be set according to the race, not the size category (eg Dwarves are medium but have a speed of 25, however Goblins and Kobolds are small and have a speed of 30)
A minor thing, but when you manage equipment and want to add "potion of greater healing" or "potion of superior healing" or "potion of supreme healing", it gives no result because the words "greater", "superior" and "supreme" are in parenthesis. A search for "(greater)" or "(superior)"works, for example, but "greater" or "superior" alone won't show the potion of greater or superior healing. As DM, I've had to explain a few times how to find these potions (i.e. search for "healing", not "potion of greater healing"). But would be nice to solve this small issue.
I went on a deleting spree the other day as I was over 200 characters....
That said, I create them to test issues and new content.
Feature request: mass delete functionality.
if we are putting things on a wishlist for updating the character management page:
Being able to re-order your characters would be nice. They aren't even sorted alphabetically right now, just the order of creation. Bonus points, maybe being able to group them by campaign or class in container boxes. Here's my AL char bucket, here's my test char bucket, etc.
When deleting, you get a confirmation box that asks you if you really want to delete something, but it gives no indication of what is being deleted in the confirmation box.
A fast way to switch between the character sheet view and other characters that doesn't involve multiple tabs.
For my new D&D group, my players are all new and I asked them to use DND Beyond for their character sheet and compendium. They were all fumbling with the pre-gen character sheet I made for them and prefer to look at the PDF export on their phone because they prefer scrolling around for all the information faster. I suggest there's an option on mobile where instead of tucking away the panels in the corner button we can put them below each other so we can just scroll down to what we want. Or better yet, tabs! Similar to Fight Club 5e
Late to the party but thought I'd give my small bit of feedback anyway.
Firstly, I really like the new layout, much better than before imo and looking forward to the new features being added, such as wild shapes learned, etc.. I hope familiars will be included too.
The only small bit of change I would like to see, to what we have there already, is the active conditions section. I feel that the active conditions need to stand out a bit better. Maybe have them colour coded or have little icons, like resistances and immunities, that make them a bit more noticeable. Other than that I cannot currently think of anything else to change.
Keep up the good work, it is getting better and better.
I have a suggestion for cleaning up the display of items on the character sheet that are typically displayed in [base item][comma][adjective] (ie. crossbow, light) format. If you look at the list of weapon proficiencies from the character sheet shown here
and were to simply re-list the weapon proficiencies in a vertical list by delimiting commas it would look like this:
Crossbow
Light
Dagger
Dart
Quarterstaff
Sling
Except, wait... light isn't a weapon (not a physical weapon, in the D&D-sense).
Could we reformat weapon names from materiel format to regular language format when they appear on the character sheet? Is that possible?
(Sorry if this has been already suggested here, it's a bit of a long thread to read fully) (Copied over from my comment for the "Spell Updates and More" update article)
Exhaustion is a bit tricky, and it can be hard to remember what level does what, and (especially in the mobile view) it is very inconvenient to always check, especially in parts that automatically reflect certain modifiers:
Exhaustion level 1 should grant disadvantage on ability checks (which means initiative rolls and skill checks as well). Could this be indicated with the small red D on the respective parts?
Exhaustion level 2 and 5 should reduce the movement speed to half or 0. This is not reflected on the character sheet.
Exhaustion level 3 grants disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws, this is not indicated on the sheet. Could this be added? (The saving throws section already has a modifiers area, that would probably be the easiest to do)
In general, is it possible that conditions are reflected in the corresponding areas of the sheet? Movement and Saving Throws should be the most straightforward; ability checks and skill checks could get the small red D next to the modifier; attack rolls could get a similar indicator. If this is doable, it could also reflect disadvantage on stealth checks wearing certain armour, or disadvantage on Dex/Str based ability checks, saving throws and attack rolls when wearing armour not proficient with.
Oh, and conditions that are included by other conditions should also appear on the sheet (i.e. Paralyzed, Petrified, Stunned, Unconscious all say you are Incapacitated, so that should also be shown)

Why is there only one choice for oath for the paladin class?
Have you purchased the PHB here? Are you part of a campaign that includes content sharing?
If your answer to both questions is no, you need to either purchase or homebrew the oath(s) you want to use. Note that you don't have to buy the entire PHB; you can just buy what you want/need. See the buyer's guide link in my signature for more info. (If you aren't in a position to pay, you can homebrew the oath you want).
If your answer to the second question is yes, make sure that you are creating a character IN that campaign, as content sharing only applies to characters built in the campaign.
If your answer to the first question is yes, try clearing your cache. (The same if you are in a campaign and content sharing is turned on). If that doesn't work, please report back for more suggestions.

Group by campaign sounds good, although most people rarely have more than one character in a campaign, so it wouldn't really solve much. Group by class will also become less helpful as you start having multiclass characters. Filtering by these however would be very beneficial (with multiclass characters showing up if the filter matches any of the classes; thus a fighter/cleric would appear if you filter for fighter or for cleric.)

**sigh** Well, after about two months, I still don't like the new sheet. I've been forcing myself to use it, but I keep going back to the paper character sheet I made for one of my D&D Beyond characters. The current format just isn't as convenient as a paper sheet, and It's just too clunky to get to the additional information.
I realise the majority of people seem to prefer the new format, but I still refuse to believe there was a sufficient landslide majority to justify changing the old format (and have no option to use the old one). It was one of the major draws for me about the whole D&D Beyond look and feel. Sad face.

How to add Tooltips
When you give a homebrew magic item the Range weapon property you can't change what values it has. This also effects the weapon Dwarven Thrower.

Or at least perhaps Crossbow (Light) to differentiate better. I agree it's a tad awkward as is, even if it's PHB 'official'.
Got a request, any chance we can get a link for the wild magic table in the wild magic sorcerer feature page?
