I’ve been able to recreate this. In the character builder on ios12 mobile safari you choose a race and then a class. At level one you choose the spells you want but if you go back to class features, change to level 20, and then go back to spells it shows the dnd beyond loading graphic but then only shows spell level options 0 and 1 to add.

Confirmed on Chrome/macOS. Happens only in the character builder, during the creation though - works fine if I finish the process, then go back to manage levels or use the spell management on the character sheet. Quick workaround: finish the character and add the rest of the spells later.

I think that a lot of the reason people play games like dnd is how flexible it is. i would think there should be an option on the character sheet to add or edit things that are not within the realm of the core rules.
E.g. if you had a paladin that wanted two-weapon fighting as his fighting style, i think that that should be do able, or if the DM wanted to add a spell to your spell list that isn't normally available to your class. or even things like if you had one additional spell memorized for a caster above their limit because of an effect. something to make the character sheet more flexible.

On the other hand there are dms out there who don't want that to be available for players, so it needs to be something that can be enabled/disabled via campaign management, or only for the dm of a campaign, and that makes it quite complicated. Meanwhile there are workarounds people came up with (giving magic items granting these extra things), so I can understand why they focus on a more AL legal approach.
I would love a way to make notes anywhere on the character sheet - like a sticky note function. Say I have a charm that will give me a weapon bonus for x days. I'd like to be able to put a temporary note on my weapon, that I could then remove when the charm wears off.
Loving the new swiping! However I noticed the "gesture area" doesn't extend all the way down below the content. So if I'm swiping towards the bottom and get to a section with a short content area I have to change where I'm swiping to continue. A minor thing in the big picture, but it does cause a break in the user experience.
I'm slowly learning that while 'won't be long' means like a week to eager fans, that the hardworking coders at DDB probably mean a couple weeks to a month. Though maybe that's 'very soon'. Maybe won't be long means couple months. Maybe it's totally not worth speculating and I should just go do the dishes.

Isn't that what allow homebrew does on the character sheet?
I have to instead homebrew a magic item, then tell the player to NOT select a fighting style.
Instead , I want to create a homebrew fighting style, also homebrew warlock invocations, and homebrew entire classes, if I want (looking at you: Revised Ranger)

There's a difference between homebrew on/off and AL legal. You can build non-AL-legal characters without any homebrew.

Not to mention that in order to use some of the items that have been awarded in AL you have to homebrew them.

No, it just doesn't offer the homebrew collection content for that character. But the player can turn that on any time, and for example it does not disable the "add any feat anytime" on the character sheet either.
What I would like is, as a DM of a campaign, I could control whether characters in the campaign can use these allowances themselves, or restrict these kind of changes to be available only for the DM. And yes, I trust my players not to do things I don't allow them; but this system was also meant to be a helpful tool for beginners, and it's easier to not allow them to just anything they want anytime than explaining how half the features of the sheet should not be used at all. Otherwise I could just use roll20 to allow them to edit their character sheet anyway they want to.

I love the work you've done on the character sheet! But there is one thing that makes using it in-game nearly impossible for me. Please fix this!
I use D&D Beyond on my Android phone, and when I open a snippet I can't scroll down! When I try to scroll, it instead scrolls the character sheet behind the snippet. That makes any snippet content farther than 1 phone-length down to be completely useless to me.
Occasionally, if I refresh, open the snippet, and scroll down really fast, I can make it scroll for a few lines at least before it stops scrolling. Sometimes I can read or write a few extra lines that way. Sometimes.
I've had this problem ever since the new character sheet came out, but I figured if enough people had the same problem it would get ironed out eventually. Is it just my phone?

When viewing the equipment section of the character sheet it would be nice if the column headers (Active,Name, Weight, Quantity, etc) would be stationary similar to 'Freeze top row' in Excel. Especially when you have lots of items and have to scroll a long way.
First, let me say that I'm really liking the revamp. Well done.
A few suggestions on the Actions page:
1. Add "Spells" list to the Action section. This is already listed under Bonus Action but as a newer player, I found the reminder useful when trying to determine my action every round. I know there's a Spell page with full spell details but I think breaking spells into speed and consolidating would be helpful on the Actions page too. Just a list of spells with clickable links, not full spell tracking.
2. Do not include the generic "Channel Divinity" under Actions if the specific Channel Divinity options are listed as well. This is particularly relevant if the Channel Divinities are only available as bonus actions/reactions. However, I know that that's included to allow for a check box and it might not be possible to "link" separate checkboxes for the individual options.
3. I'd argue that if you plan to include feature tracking on the Actions page, spells slots should be tracked there too. Possibly break that out into a separate section entirely or save tracking for the individual pages and use the Actions page as a reference only.
For those of you wanting Wild Shape / Familiar / Beast Master companion support and such... This was the preview provided by the Dev update today! Still a work in progress, but I'm pretty darn excited!

Can you provide a link address of the sheet?

Hello,
I made a separate thread about this in bug report, but maybe it fits better here. I made a homebrew background, but the equipment doesn't show up properly during character creation. You get a series of lines with nothing in them. Here's a link to the other thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/24645-homebrew-background-assistance.
Thanks for the assistance.
