Hi, could you add a filter tag for spell ranges e.g. self, touch, 120ft etc. It would help when choosing spells for the Sorceror Distant metamagic ability.
I really want a way to create homebrew class features, and possibly even classes. I want to play as a psion, but there's no way to create actual whole classes or optional/replacement features.
Simulations are much more random then just hvaing the computer roll the numbers. i wonder why people would want a basic random generator. if its a question of being faster, then why play with dice anyway. even in real life it would take time to roll a dice. in any cases...
if its to make it roll faster on your VTT of choice... remember to click on beyond20 icon at the top and disable beyond dice. that will make it roll directly into your VTT of choice.

Could it be made so that the picture frames for your character on the character sheet also appear with that same picture frame in the Character and Campaign tabs so others can see your customization options without having to enter your character sheets themselves?
The ability to select which dice skin you are using on a per character basis instead of account wide. That way I can have thematic dice selected for each character every time I play them. Being able to customize the backgrounds/frames/colors is awesome and I love doing it. Being able to change the dice individually would be chef's kiss.
Also character sheet organization. Everyone has wanted this since the dawn of time and it is ridiculous that there is none yet. I pay to have unlimited character slots so I can keep ones of characters who are dead/for one-shots/wips/etc. CUSTOM Folders, tags, drag and drop sorting are all things that I would love to see and would make this site a lot more pleasant to use.

they are working on it because they set up voting systems in their new feature system and character sheet sorting is one the thing that is most requested. so i'm guessing it has come to their to-do list.
if you wanna know more about the feature system they impolemented, go into the feedback forum and each section is included with a link to the voting place and why its critical to you to have that system. i suggest you get there and just start voting on what you want more then anything else.

Maybe an addon subscription or extra tier to share content with more than 5 tables? I'm running out of tables to share content with and i have potentially 1 or 2 more campaign starting soon. I'd gladly pay extra to get more table slots i just wish it was an available option without requiring a new account and re-buying all the books i already have.
New to the forums, so sorry if this has been suggested already in the thread, (however I searched under 'annotations' and 'notes' in the thread and didn't see anything).
Would it be possible to add a function to make notes or annotations in the digital books we own. Like how a DM might write notes about an encounter, a reference to a magic item location, or if they leave off on a certain part of the adventure and want to make a note about where the players left off, different tweaks or house rules they have as a DM, or the deeds that have been done so far, an NPC's disposition to them, etc. It would just be nice to be able to not have to do that outside of the site
Not a feature per-say, but I'd really love to buy the 'Minsc and Boo's Journal of Villainy' and 'Domains of Delight' Extra Life supplements on D&D Beyond.

I Cancelled my Master Tier Subscription January 12th 2023 because of "OGL" 1.1 - Resubscribed 28th of Jan, now the SRD is in CC-BY-4.0
D&DB has a bunch of great variables for use in statblocks, like [spell] or [condition]. How about a [name] variable? So instead of having to type out the creature's name in each field (Actions, Traits, etc.), we can just use [name]. It would reference the monster/item/class name field, and populate that name wherever the [name] tag appears.

D&D Beyond doesn't actually support variables, what you're describing are tooltip tags. They convert the information within the tags into a tooltip link and don't actually function as a variable.
Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
i so want the ability to stop sharing from players in my group... i now have tons of copy_of in my list and that is just apprent to everybody just because one player tryed to homebrew shit for himself. and because he's in my campaign i'm stuck with it.
i really wish we could choose which players could use homebrew and who couldn't. not just the player deciding if he want it or not.
like in campaign in sharing, have a list of players and just decide which player can share his homebrew or not. or just literally allow only the DM homebrew. its his world after all.

I haven't delved into Homebrew. Are there tags for creating tooltips to homebrew entities in a campaign that has the homebrew things?
No (and not so no).
Officially: “DDB does not support Tooltips for homebrewed content, only official content by the game’s publisher, WotC is supported blah blahblahblah blah blah… 💩.”
Actually: DDB doesn’t support them, but one can make one’s own. They will still register as “external links” which will trip the system to nag you with “This [Homebrew] cannot be shared with the community for the….” However, if you want it to both look, and function just like any other tooltip, and don’t care if it denies publication, then yeah, it’s totally doable. (It’s not appreciated by “The Man,” they warn us that if they alter something in their system and that breaks our fugazi tooltips they aren’t responsible and don’t wanna hear about it. “Homebrewer beware, at your own risk, do not attempt at home, etc.” But, yeah, they’ll work alright (at least so far so good).

There are two ways to stop sharing of homebrew:
Character sheets can turn homebrew off - this works for that individual character
Players can remove unwanted homebrew from their collections - this works for all players in the campaign
Note: Once homebrew is added to a character, it doesn't matter if it's no longer shared - it will stay on the sheet until it is removed.
except that none of the items are in "MY" collection and thus i cannot remove them, i have to ask the man who created them to remove them or delete them. but much worse, i just simply cannot do anything to stop them from sharing bullshit. after all they are in my campaign and all players share their stuff because of me having shared content active... removing content sharing is not an option to me.
in fact i knew about both of your options and none of them solves anything. you see, i have 5 camapigns active. 1 for a friend... two that are place holders. and the last 2 are my own campaigns... unfortunately when i try to create anything, i actually see the content of everyone in those 5 camapigns. and thus im at a lost to know what is homebrew and what is not. i use my own homebrews for my world yet i see the homebrew of my friends campaign which have nothing to do with my own. and in the character sheet. feats and spells and all do not tells that they are homebrew. its much less a problem for me cause i know what is what. i know th ebooks by heart. but all of my friends don't and it hapenned that some friends created characters with feats and spells that aren'T even in my campaigns.
im not gonna start telling people not to design, and im definitely not gonna tell them to remove their collections for my sake. but i will ask my campaigns people to actuallyput the name of their world besides the nameof the feat or spell. for now thats what im doing and thats what we'll be using to differetiate our stuff... but really its a nuisance at this point.

on the spell scrolls, could we get it that on those items we get a tick list to mark which spells of that level we have.
then it could be linked through to the spells section with a use button.
once used the tick could be automatically unchecked in the spell scroll item.

Is there a way to turn off the Dice rolling animations and just get the results instead?
I really want a way to create homebrew class features, and possibly even classes. I want to play as a psion, but there's no way to create actual whole classes or optional/replacement features.
Currently no as the dice are physically rolled to be random. It's a simulation, not animation. But they're working on other ways.
Check out all my important links here.

give us the option to change a homebrew race's size like they do with new races
I would deeply appreciate a prominent button in the filter options to only show stuff I own and can use (especially for monster and magic items)
