Allow for the (de)selection of individual source materials for character creation. Ideally, I think a tree like structure where you have All/None, like items, and pure side-shows (Spell Jammer). Dragonlance could be a good mid-level all/none option with each book being (de)selectable under it, and so on.
Crap, man, how about basic functionality like adding Bless or Aid to your character sheet?
For Aid use "Max HP Modifier" on Character sheet -> HP Management.
For Bless, you could homebrew a custom feat "Blessed" with appropriate modifiers and add or remove the feat from the character sheet. This should also work for Bane (as the reverse) as well as tracking those pesky "Raised from Death" penalties (requires four such feats at -4,-3,-2-1). Alternatively, it is very common to handle Bless using a macro inside a VTT if using.
I'm pretty confident we won't see any additions to DnDBeyond until the full VTT is released. That doesn't mean what we want will be there, but I assume rather than coding into this they'll incorporate it into the next generation of the system.

My understanding is that the VTT and Dndbeyond are separate projects that will “talk” to each other, at least in one direction (from DDB to the VTT). That said, it is certain,y the case that development has appeared to have mostly stalled. I’m hoping that means that they are doing a lot of background work, but I worry that it’s related to losing staff who know DDB well and/or WOTC supervisors who don’t really understand DDB.
I know this is a request that lots of people have mentioned in different places, and surely here too, and I want to add my voice to that as well. It would really help if it was possible to add more levels beyond 20.
I use the app for my group’s homebrew campaign, and the app’s homebrew features are pretty good, but if I’m going to keep using this app for the game then I’ll need to go beyond the current level cap. I’ve read that there are other strange homebrew solutions that people use with extra magic items and such, but I use this app because it makes things simple. I keep the homebrew pretty light because I don’t like to mess with the game, but this is the direction my group is going. All I would really need is the ability to multi class beyond 20.
I know that’s more complicated than just saying “Okay, go for it.” and that it would be some work on the part of the staff to code all of that, but it’s definitely something that people want, and I really think it would go a long way towards continuing to build upon the relationship between the company and the community.
I hope that you’ll be able to seriously consider adding this optional feature. Thank you.
I really enjoy pre-made adventures, adding them into my campaign. In order to incorporate modules that are for tier 1 into tier 2, it would be nice to have a note on the encounter of the approximate difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Deadly). That way I could put an interesting module that is the wrong tier into my story by just changing the CR of the enemies.
I have a multitude of suggestions. here are the first 3.
1. The ability to assign an second or third DM to a campaign with full DM permissions. Example: someone who wants to run a one-shot, mini-adventure, or full adventure with-in the campaign just to give the primary DM a break.
2. The creation of sub-encounters in the Encounters builder. to keep things semi-organized. Prime example: extended down time with many recreational options to choose from.
3. Remove restrictions from DM adjustments and modifications in personal/private (NON-League) users. Adjustment/modifications for non-league DMs appear to be restricted or nonexistent in certain areas. The most prominent area that comes to mind is the character sheet. Specific example: DM allows a swap of proficiency with medium or heavy armor for proficiency with simple or martial weapons; however, the adjustment cannot be made on the character sheet because these proficiencies are fixed to the class(es). This was from experience as a player. note: PH; Intro; Worlds of Adventure; last sentance - "Ultimately, the Dungeon Master is the authority on the campaign and its setting, even if the setting is a published world.". I presume this holds true for character build and evolution as well.
I know it's been mentioned dozens of times (I know because I went back and up-voted all other mentions of it I could easily find), but we need more customizability for homebrew weapons (magic and non-magic). The current system of being forced into a "Base Weapon" selection is silly, especially if you're making something that doesn't really resemble anything that exists already. It severely limits customizability and creates problems later on if the weapon ever needs to be adjusted. The inability to change range or damage dice or other features of the weapon is bizarre. We should be able to create weapons completely from scratch if we want and set all the parameters and values ourselves (including if it's magic or not). The process of finding a suitable weapon with the correct "unchangeable" values, modifying it to ignore the majority of its properties and then adding the correct ones is tedious at best and frustrating more often than not.
I'm already dreading the fact that my DM and I are discussing "upgrading" my character's main weapon (a homebrew firearm) in the future to use more damage dice and range. It's going to end up being a complete re-make of the weapon (using a completely different base) instead of just changing a damage dice value in the editor.
And yes, I know changing the weapon range doesn't actually affect anything in DNDBeyond, but it's dumb that I can't just change it and instead have to add a note on my character sheet stating the correct range after the incorrect range. I should just be able to change it. I am also aware that the "Custom Action" feature exists, but you can't adjust the to-hit bonus with that feature, and I'd still like for the features of the weapon to be built into the weapon itself instead of being forced to make a completely separate function for it.
A lot of the "solutions" I've seen to these homebrew weapon problems are still just work arounds for a system that should be fixed instead of band-aided, especially considering the plethora of forum posts I've seen all about the same topic. It's something people plainly want.
If we turn off content sharing for a book in a campaign, it would be great if the features from that book no longer shows up in character builder.
which would then break the character sheet, which is exactly why you can't delete published homebrew.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

I'm talking strictly about new characters in a new campaign. I get it it might be a task, but if I want to prevent them from taking Strixhaven backgrounds or whatnot, blocking the Strixhaven book, in my mind, should do that.
Never. Wait for their new Unreal Engine based system where you pay for pink fireballs and Elminster hats.

Does anyone know where the new feedback portal is? The old link deadends to the main hub for beyond.
I don't think there is a new feedback portal. Shortly after WOTC bought DDB, the feedback portals were shut down.

Wondering why we don't have a filter for magic item rarity when we're trying to find items to give our players.

I assume he means the inventory manager in the character sheet.
I'd like to see the Drake Companion (for the Drakewarden in Fizban's) added to the list of companions under Extras on the character sheet.
