How hard can it be to control the content in MY campaign!!!
I don't want my players homebrews to show up in my campaign. They have no way to distinguish between my homebrew like beasts I've added for the Moon Druid and all the other crap the other players have subscribed to.
I really feel that. Luckily for me, I am kind of the coordinator-DM of homebrew in my groups. Anything anyone wants to add generally gets added onto my account and shared through campaign sharing. I imagine it'd be a nightmare if any of the players in my groups were DMs with their own content from other settings, etc.
Y'know just gonna put it out there, free map tool for everybody
Historically DDB has always used Master Tier subscribers as Guinea pigs for their Alfa test stuff, and then open it up to everyone once it moves into beta phase. But that was before WotC bought them out, so who knows it they’ll hold to that pattern or not.
Are we still using this thread to ask for features? Looks like it, so why not....
How about a new category of built-in tooltips? On forum posts we can use tooltips to highlight weapons, magic items, spells, etc... but for class/race features, we have to just use spoilers, or type out the feature description openly.
Having tooltips for these features would be convenient, and could save server space from people having to describe the features themselves (or prevent extra unnecessary page hits from others having to look the feature up.)
I'm sure this is in here already but i'm putting my 2 cents in to push the issue...
The Custom Actions is WOEFULLY incapable. We should be able to have custom actions listed as part of the main structure not a "scroll down to find it" other section. If i want to build a multi damage source equation for common used attacks.. such a a single roll to handle a longsword booming blade attack 1d10 [slashing]+1d8 [lightning] I should be able to do full damage equations. So many abilities and whatnot add "tack on" damage to weapons and not being able to easily have a roll setup to handle that is frustrating
Provide us with more detailed API for dndbeyond homebrew system. Which also needs an overhaul as its horrendously non-user friendly

Just to address the "Other Section" for custom actions. You already can create custom actions and have them appear with other full actions, bonus actions and reactions. When editing the custom action, choose the "Activation Type," and choose Action, Bonus Action, Reaction, or some other activation type, and the custom action then appears in the appropriate section.
I like creating magic items, but what about making mundane items? I understand all the stuff you have to specify when making a magic item, but when you just want a Dagger that does a d6 instead of a d4, it takes what feels like an unnecessary amount of work to get it to work properly. I might be one of very few, but it'd be great to at least have a mundane option in item creation.

Agreed! In my game Spears that are wielded 1-handed count as Finesse Weapons. This encourages the spear and shield sort of Spartan play. But there is no way to alter a common Spear this way. Custom Weapons should be a bunch of fields or boxes that can be filled in like Name, Stat, Damage amount, Damage type, bonuses, Finesse/Heavy/whatever.
Oh, and nowhere in the description of the Feat Resilient do I see that it's limited to one Stat. And yet, once I've picked it for a character, I cannot pick it again. This should be an easy fix.

The feat doesn’t need to explicitly state that you can only take it once because the general rule is that you can only take any feat once unless the feat specifically says otherwise. It’s spelled out right in the introduction to the feats section of the PHB:
A feat represents a talent or an area of expertise that gives a character special capabilities. It embodies training, experience, and abilities beyond what a class provides.
At certain levels, your class gives you the Ability Score Improvement feature. Using the optional feats rule, you can forgo taking that feature to take a feat of your choice instead. You can take each feat only once, unless the feat’s description says otherwise.
You must meet any prerequisite specified in a feat to take that feat. If you ever lose a feat’s prerequisite, you can’t use that feat until you regain the prerequisite. For example, the Grappler feat requires you to have a Strength of 13 or higher. If your Strength is reduced below 13 somehow — perhaps by a withering curse — you can’t benefit from the Grappler feat until your Strength is restored.
Oh, and nowhere in the description of the Feat Resilient do I see that it's limited to one Stat. And yet, once I've picked it for a character, I cannot pick it again. This should be an easy fix.
Per the PHB, all feats can only be taken once, unless the feat description states otherwise.
This may have already been discussed in the 147 pages, so I apologize if this has already been covered.
D&D Beyond is rapidly surpassing other gaming sites like Paizo for being able to run online games. The tools and links are superior in every way. However, this site is missing a big piece that helps improve online D&D style gaming. Players and DMs are unable to post in character. We all must post in our master user profile. There is no way to create an alias. On the Paizo Pathfinder forums, I could create as many aliases as I wanted under my user account. That way I could post as my character or as a regular NPC. In play you see the image of the character and not the user. This really enhances play.
Is this something you are looking at adding to D&D Beyond? And for D&D Beyond it could be another profit center. You could offer a couple of alias' as a start, and more with enhanced subscriptions.
I love creating new characters, but right now I've got about 70+ characters all just sitting in a mishmash with very little organization. I can organize them by name or level, sure, but right now there's no way to separate them into groups, not even by class. Implementing a folder feature into the My Characters section would do wonders for organization in that section - would absolutely love to see something like that happen.

While I agree that a folder system would be phenomenal, there is currently at least a way (even if it isn’t great way) to organize one’s PCs. What a lot of us have taken to doing is to create different campaigns and add our characters to those kinda like folders. Then, when we want to look at a particular group of characters we navigate through the campaigns page instead of the characters page. Each individual player, including the DM can have up to 99 characters per campaign, so you can really load a lot of them into a single campaign for organizational purposes, you just have to make sure you’ve claimed them all so they don’t get counted individually. Then I leave my characters page default setting on “modified latest” so it always keeps the handful of characters I’m actively using in campaigns up close to the top. It may not bean ideal solution, but it does work more or less.

Can't you just create a custom action that is d6 piercing using dex as your 1hd spear for melee, and use the std spear item for ranged attacks?
Circling back to say that the dark gifts from Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft have still not been added to DND Beyond's character creator. It's been 3 years since we were told it would be added and I would like to actually be able to have that present so I can better keep track of it.

I wish there were a way to search and purchase spells, feats etc. As it is now you have to go through each individual book and find them.
That’s already possible.

I'd love for a way to search within the store. Finding all the Spells, Backgrounds and such is almost impossible.
I can't afford to just buy everything and have to pick and choose. This would make it easier to find what I want to but.
