Sure you've heard it 100's of time's and told everyone to take a hike but can't you even take isbn numbers? Good god. How much money do you think people have? Expecting people to buy a book we already have again--I bought in store--but what's the plan here? As a DM, my players were already living hand to mouth and we have to do what? Buy books we already have? A lot of my players got laid off and furloughed.

You want them to give you digital products for free based on a physical purchase you made that they literally don't see a cent from? Probably not. That is to say: Wizards of the Coast and D&D Beyond are owned by 2 entirely different companies.

You already having a physical copy and demanding free access to the content here is like saying "yeah, I bought this Playstation disc. Microsoft should give me digital access on Xbox."
If you want to take the time, you can import literally everything from your hardcover books into your private homebrew collection on this site, but that is your decision and has nothing to do with DnD Beyond, which remains a separate company from Wizards of the Coast, or the store you bought your hard cover books at.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
....can't you even take isbn numbers? Good god. How much money do you think people have?
ISBN numbers are not unique per copy. Every Player's Handbook (at least of the same printing) has the same ISBN number. So no, they can't take ISBN numbers. If no one pays for content, how do you expect DDB to pay the developers and other staff involved in converting the resources and coding the site? How to you expect them to pay licensing fees to WOTC?
I am truly sorry that your players have been furloughed. But they do have several no-cost and low-cost options: 1) they can still with paper and pencil for their character sheets; 2) They can homebrew the elements they need for free. 2b) Since private homebrew is shared in campaigns even without a Master Tier subscription, they could even team up and divide up the homebrewing work. 3) If they can afford to spend a little bit of money, they can purchase just the individual items (subclass, spells, etc.) they need for their characters.

The company that publishes D&D is not the same company that owns this website. This website is essentially a store that is in competition with the bookstore in which you purchased the physical books.
The integration of quick access to monsters, resources, etc. within D&D Beyond is one of the major benefits of using this service. To look at a monster, I only have to hover my mouse over it vs. pulling out a book or reference card. The one flaw....please have links open up in a new tab or offer a settings option for users. I can have a character open, click a link and then I am completely out of it. Yes, I can hit the back button, but perhaps I want quick access to both. This would be a very easy, minimal fix that would enhance the user's experience. Thank you!
Sources Page - Can you add a little icon or something to indicate which books we have? Even better, add a "Your Bookshelf" in the collections section so we don't have to visually sort through all the available books. Still better yet...do both :-)

I disagree that such tooltips/links should always open in a new tab anywhere on the site, but I definitely agree that they should at least do so while looking at a character sheet - I can't think of a scenario where I would want to navigate away from the sheet to view some such detail.

What about when you click on a link inside a module? For example, if you open up a monster, it would seem useful to have the module in one tab and the monster in another for easy reference vs. pulling you out of the module altogether and having to use the "back" button.
The ability to create a homebrew class is huge for me. I spent an inordinate amount of time on the Unearthed Arcana channel at Reddit. :)
I'm curious what the viability would be of having some sort of developer API that would allow those of us with years (in my case decades) of experience in web engineering to contribute to some of these efforts? If I had the opportunity to help make homebrew classes a reality, I'd jump on it for sure.
I've chatted casually about this with some of the developers at PAX Unplugged the last couple of years, but they rightfully seemed a little hesitant about exposing any part of their API for public consumption and noted that classes specifically were really tied into the UI code to the point where homebrew classes would be a mega lift for them, unfortunately.
Oh? That would be pretty cool. Especially if this API allowed us to finally do custom homebrew classes... ;) Quite seriously, if I could have only one feature, it would be homebrew classes. An integrated VTT would be awesome, but I have options for that even if D&D Beyond never builds that. Same with the encounter builder, the combat tracker, the dice, etc. But an integrated homebrew class feature... can't get that anywhere else as it wouldn't be integrated with D&D Beyond... and custom classes are one of the things my players love to futz around with the most.
Request: Avrae Bot being able to be added to a private video conference room.
As you know, we cannot use video in a server uless we are toying aroud stuff and mostly it might not work. so video calls can't be done in a server. to be clear, i'm not asking for avrae bot to have voice recognition or being able to make video calls. just that we'd love to have avrae bot in our little game during covid times. after all, there is a chat room in the private video conference too.

simple solution to your problem... Middle-click the monster, it will open in a new tab ! middle-clicking is the shortcut to opening the link in a new tab, i do this all the time on here. i often open a tab for the map of the adventure. and then a another tab to see the numbers with which i am on. not to mention each monsters have their own separate tabs.
so yeah, instead of asking a feature your windows or your browser can already do, you could just check your shortcuts first. because the function is already built into the browsers, all of them at it. you could also just right click and click open in a new tab. that works too. for those on tablets, the right click is holding the finger down until a square appears, thats symbolic of right clicking. so even on a tablet, which i do often i right click and then click open in a new tab and thats it.
