I haven't followed the whole thread so I apologize if it has already been mentioned. The possibility when creating a new character sheet to be able to decide that the spells to be added are shown only by a specific manual as well as by the PHB. It would be very useful for anyone who plays with the PHB +1 rule. Sometimes in the haste to choose while playing, the note on the description of the spell which manual it belongs to may escape.

They are currently doing a system overhaul on the character sheet. If I remember correctly, an “AL Compliance” feature of some sort is planned. I’m not sure if it’s part of this system update, or one of the ones that will follow based off of this one.
i am new to DnD Beyond but already consider it a "must".
My suggestions: - Character Sheet - allow community created Character Sheets Templates. My example would be World of Warcraft interface customization via Addons written in Lua. - VTT - a native VTT to DnD Beyond - Item management - add "item location" to items (similar to Wield that we currently have) so that my character can have a list of items they possess versus what they are carrying and where the possessions are stored (coach cabin, parent's house, home etc). My suggestion is having one pre-fixed that calculates the weight and the others could be customizable, but the weight would be disconsidered.
Welcome to the community! You’ll be happy to know that a character sheet revamp including enhanced inventory management functions is already underway and coming soon. And a VTT is already planned. The Encounter Builder (which is in beta), the Combat Tracker (in alpha stage), and the digital dice (coming soon) all have to happen first so that they can build the VTT.

Thank you for the reply! =) I feel very welcome, i'll give you that.
Also, i did know you have those upcoming features, just wanted to "chip in"... your forums are great and the roadmap feels very community driven (because you disclose it). Regards and keep on rocking!
If I understand correctly, my purchase of the digital players handbook, and my subscription for $26 per year is not enough to allow my players to access the Player's handbook in my campaigns. Is that right?
No. Let me rephrase that, because its clearly not right. Its messed up. Come on guys, that's pretty cheap.

Not “me/mine” I do not work for DDB. I’m just another user same as you. It’s the “they/them” of the DDB staff you wanna thank. I was just letting a new user know that stuff they want is already coming our way.
I need to be able to make non-magical items. My campaigns do not consist of people just piling heaps of magical junk up in their hoard. There's no cloak, cape, knife, or many other simple items available in the equipment selection.
Also, players need to be able to make additions or changes to the descriptions of their items.

The $26 per year hero tier subscription does not include content sharing, which is why you can't share your Player's Handbook. You need a master tier convention to enable content sharing.
As for homebrew, mundane equipment homebrew is on the road map. Not sure if it'll extend to items with no mechanical function such as cloaks or capes, but you can add those simply enough through Manage Equipment.
Finally, players can make notes and description changes to their items. They just need to click the item, then click customise at the top of the sidebar
I would like to suggest the ability to search the user name of a creator for additional published homebrew content by that creator. For example, I stumble across something that user TinaOfTiamat (made up on the spot) published in the homebrew section that I think is well thought out and balanced. I am now intrigued and want to see if there is other content created by this user that I may like. If I search their username, anything that they have made public would show up in the results.
VTTs are all over the place now. Does it make sense to spend all that money on R&D when they could just partner with an existing platform?
they are losing people left and right (I’m one of them) who are tired of waiting and spending triple the money on the same products. The are missing the chance. Gotta strike while the iron is hot!
Are they losing people left and right? I have never heard that before. What evidence do you have to support that claim besides your personal gripe with DnD Beyond?
Also, there are benefits to making their own VTT instead of partnering. Sure, it'll take awhile, but it's worth it if they don't want to have to go through the legal trouble of making a contract with a different company.

I'd love an integrated virtual tabletop, as long as it can be lean and easy to use (optionally without any 3D stuff). Otherwise I would stick to theater of mind, when playing by voice chat.

it's on their development roadmap. Although I think it should be their No. 1 priority

It doesn't matter how smart you think are you. No one will want to work with you if you're an *******.

Please partner with Talespire! It’s a great virtual tabletop and would be even better with integrated dndbeyond!
DDB is developing their own VTT, why would they want to share their software with the competition?

Because they don't have their VTT up and running. Also capitalism.

But then they'd have to get rid of the partnership fairly quickly. It just doesn't make sense for them to do that.
