Or you could just tell them to stick it under additional equipment and make the scrolls after the session. Keep in mind, the versions I explained do more than just have the name, they actually have the spell attached and can get cast directly from the sheet and everything.
Yes, but what I do is quickly google the spell, copy paste the details, go to their page, create new custom item, call it "Scroll of [Spellname]" then paste the text there.
Done, now they have the spell, and my players check their dndbeyond inventory and stats. Then I just announce "Your new item is available, you can refresh to see details at your convenience" and maybe I even give a short description.
I would simply like it to be even faster than that.
Another thing I do, I give random cyphers (one-use items) and other items from my imagination, and I mark them as "Unidentified" custom items in the DNDB character inventory. I either have a planned effect that I figured out on the spot that I note down in my DM notes, or I leave it unidentified for a later time to decide on a different effect. Sometimes, I even switch up the effect from my notes for unidentified items. Not everything has to be a scroll with a magic effect. Can make some on the fly.
For instance, a cypher I gave to a player was a "Lightning Charred Gryphon Claw" After they talked to a druid, he told them that it is a lucky charm. And I then removed the "Identified" status from the item in the character's inventory, and now it read.
You can increase or decrease one roll of your choice by 1, after which this claw disintegrates through latent lightning forces.
Not everything has to be a scroll, but yes, I like the flexibility and speed to make stuff up and sync it with the characters inventory during game play.
The thing is, I tried to do these as it sounds pretty straightforward easy, but these spells don't show up in my spell list.
I had to create a Wondrous Item I called Scroll Case, add the spells I have from the scrolls there and equip it to show on the spell list. The downside of this method is that I can't add "charges" separately for each scroll according to the number of scrolls I have of each spell...

Yeah, I don't even have a method of showing it in the "Spells" menu, I just remind people that they have an inventory and they need to be aware.
Would be nice to appear in the "Spell" menu, with a "Source" tag inside (like "From Gloves", if gloves of fire like give you schorching ray once per long rest)

Exactly! As wondrous items and other Magic Items let the spell visible on your spell list, I decided to experiment creating this Scroll Case to my character... probably gonna do that until there's a way for spell scrolls to appear on the Spell List.

Let's put a meter to that foolish bravery, for both you and the NPCs.
(and help give the INT stat more uses)

spell scrolls aside, a scroll of protection should show up in the database just like any other magic item
