1. I just made a spell that inflicts an attribute penalty, akin to the shadow's Strength Drain. I'd rather like to be able to add a modifier to that effect.
2. Did you ever manage to get the sun blade's proficiency clause working? If not, have you considered a "proficient if proficient with" modifier (if you're proficient with the modifier subtype, you're proficient with this item)? You should already have some of the necessary code in place.
3. Homebrew mundane items, homebrew mundane items, homebrew mundane items. Hmm. Sometimes, saying a thing's name backwards three times will summon it. Smeti enadnum werbemoh, smeti enadnum werbemoh, smeti enadnum werbemoh. Huh. Easier to pronounce than I expected.
Can someone explain to me why I have four copies of a homebrew spell in my drop downs after making new versions, editing, and publishing them? I have even removed old versions from my collections and they still show up in drop downs. I never know which of the five spells versions I should be selecting...

Make sure you have both removed it from your collections and creations (Separate pages).

Thanks for the reply! I do have one entry for 'Death Bolt' in my Collection and Creations (I imagine Collection is the whole list, including other folks homebrews, where creations is just stuff I made). However, when choose spells as 'additional' spells, 'Death Bolt' shows up three times (used to be four, and there are four versions I went through as I tweaked it), as well as if I were to 'Death Bolt' as part of a class feature.
One entry in both Collections and Creations, the three previous versions show 'Add to Collection' if I view the Death Bolt page by following the link to the details page from either collecitons or creations, as I had previously checked 'Remove from Collection' on the three older versions, hoping that would stop them from populating in my drop downs.
I was wondering if it would be possible to make homebrew class features for inclusion in character creation. Like homebrew fighting styles, or homebrew invocations for warlocks. I have some evocations I really wanna make and implement but right now it seems like it's have to make a whole new warlock subclass for any of that and that's just too much work for such a small thing.
It is not currently possible. If I am remembering correctly, they know that some folks would like to see it happen. But it has not been mentioned as being on their short term roadmap.
Something you could do is give them a hombrew feat with the properties you want labeled as a fighting style or an invocation and have them just leave one of their slots open. It's not a pretty workaround but it should do the job.
You can add custom languages directly to the character sheet. Click in the languages area when viewing a character sheet, and choose "Language" from the Add New Proficiencies drop-down.

I haven't read through all 30+ pages of this thread, but the ability to add actions to magic items like already exists in the subclass creator would be really nice. There's a lot of items that function entirely on actions they grant, but no way to create items like that without jumping through hoops.

This is confirmed to be coming in the homebrew update, magic items was one of the first things done so it needs a 'revamp' to get more up to date. I'd imagine we can expect that sometime in 2019.
Here's a random note thrown into the midst of a massive thread:
I am extremely happy with DDB thus far, and use it for every d&d session I play. Generally complaints are lodged without acknowledging what is being done right, so I wanted to start off with some praise. Good job DDB people.
As for the "complaint", it's more of a request I guess. I'm currently in a campaign where our illustrious GM has homebrewed a lack of leveling. That is, we are always level 06, and never go beyond that. However, we are able to use xp gained to multiclass into other classes, and even gain features from our current class above the level. The main reason for the level cap is to keep our health lower, and to keep us from getting spells higher than 3rd level. It's a different and intriguing campaign to say the least. All that to say, I can use DDB with this homebrew with almost no issue. Health can be overridden so it doesn't increase with levels, and higher level class features I can sometimes apply by creating a "homebrew feat". However, I can't override the proficiency bonus to keep it at 3 (for when I "multiclass"), and I can only get so many "multiclasses" until a level 20 character is reached.
This may be a niche problem, but I think a potential "solution" could apply to many types of games. Could there be a "preference" in the character builder that removes the cap for 20 levels of classes? (and maybe possibly allows proficiency to be overridden). If not, I can attempt to merge multiple character sheets to have everything as together as I can. Still, I think it'd be a nice touch in the realm of homebrew.

It won't help with your "only 20 levels" problem, but a custom magic item that applies a negative modifier to your proficiency would work, even if it's not exactly an elegant solution.
Is there a reason we don't have the same filters for "My creations" as in the main homebrew library? This would make searching thru my 20+ years of homebrew library a lot easier as I get everything loaded with what I have and what I find from others.

I posted this elsewhere, but think this might be the place to get an actual response.
I have created a homebrew initiative feat that all characters and NPCs in my campaign receive. It is called Realistic Initiative.
Under the "Modifiers" section, I have chosen
Modifier: Bonus
Modifier Subtype: Initiative
Ability Score: WIS
This works beautifully for wisdom bonuses but does not subtract from initiative if the WIS modifier is negative. Any idea how to get this to work?
Thanks ahead of time,

i need the option to add in custom languages

that is great news! thx
I'd like the ability to create Homebrew magic items that give bonuses to a player's class features.
For example, I've given our Paladin an item that increases their Lay on Hands pool size by 5 (Or by Paladin Level).
Not sure if that's opening up a huge can of worms.
This is a really smart fix.

Is there going to be an option to "create item" home-brew for non-magic equipment/weapons/armor etc...?
