I have a homebrew version of Lizardfolk and I'm trying to reproduce the Hunter's Lore trait. Adding the "Choose a Lizardfolk Skill" modifier subtype wasn't available and I assumed that was because I hadn't purchased the Lizardfolk race. So I just bought it. I still can't choose that subtype. When I create a copy of Lizardfolk and go into the Hunter's Lore trait, the subtype is there and selected. But I need it on a subrace, not the main race. Why can't I select it?

Skill lists aren't very customizable in homebrew. I'm not sure why racial skill lists are inconsistent.

I can only recomend you work around it by including the list in the instructions. Hopefully we can make custom lists after homebrew revamp.

You can just list the skills as options.

At the top level you would do Add Racial Trait and call it Hunter's Lore.

Inside that feature's traits, put in the description and for Character Levels where Options Known, put 1,1

Then add four options, each granting proficiency in one of the lizardfolk skills, where each options looks like this
