I am trying to make a feat that adds two spells known, from a Mike Mearls Happy Fun Hour about balancing sorcerer.
When adding spells to subclasses, there is a row Consumes Spell Slot, Counts as Known Spell, Always Prepared, Available at Character Level
This row does not exist when adding spells to feats.
In addition, spells gained from feats do not follow the sage advice about being able to cast them using spell slots (ie as a sorcerer if you pick Magic Initiate: Sorcerer, the 1st level spell gained should be able to be cast using your spell slots after you cast it once for free, from Sage Advice: Feats) Right now, in the character sheet, once cast, it can't be used again until the long rest.

Yeah. Making magic initiate work properly would be nice.
As far as just adding spells for balancing or whatever, the upcoming general features/boons tools should be perfect for that.
