Hey-o! I don't know if there has been any information about this but I was wondering if Monsters of the Multiverse will release on DnD Beyond the same day as the Rules Expansion Gift Set, or if we would need to wait for the standalone copy to come out.
To the best of my knowledge, DDB hasn't said. Nor will they, likely, until the day the gift set thingus releases. Frankly, if MMM was going to release independently they would've been shrieking their heads off about preorder bonuses by now.
It's going to be odd, for sure. Odd because everything in that book presumably will be updating monsters/NPCs and PC races that have appeared elsewhere in 5e. On a smaller scale, I'm thinking specifically of a handful of monsters in VRGtR and I think WBtW, a particular monster is "updated" within DDB across all content to reflect the latest presentation of the monster. So what _could_ happen, is everything that appears in the book will be updated, making it a moot choice to purchase for a lot of players, but also possibly a good buy in point for many other players.
With the gift box coming out in about a month, I'm guessing the quiet means DDB is allowed to sell the book indivdually at this time, but when it does come out, I am curious how it'll be handled, and how the forum will handle another flood of "DDB DID WHAT TO MY CONTENT" once Bell of Lost Souls chimes in (or they fire that guy and produce honest games journalism).

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
My guess is that DDB will Expansion Box Set as it’s own “mini-bundle,” and that bundle price will reflect individual users’ previous purchases of Xanathar’s Guide & Tasha’s Cauldron like all their bundles do. If I’m correct, then they would not actually offer it for individual purchase, but if one has already purchased the rest of the Box it would effectively work out as if it were an individual item. That way DDB would only technically be offering the exact same product that WotC will be releasing, but would also still honor their existing retail policies.
Curious, I checked when the boxed set containing MMM drops. WotC is still saying Jan 25. So yeah, I'd say DDB would have to put something out by Friday to maintain the appearance of being a professional partner of WotC and not being hung out to dry. A not insignificant number of DDB, errata hating trolls aside, do like coming to DDB for the "latest" and not being able to support MMM as soon as that book is in the world (bundled to a boxset, which I think is a massive d---- move on WotC's part btw but that's going off topic) and there will be "disappointment" in the DDB space that DDB I feel just doesn't need. So sort of a rock and hard place thing.
Further curious, the boxed set doesn't list any digital version vendors at all, while the upcoming CR book lists DDB and Roll20.
My gut feeling is WotC didn't consider DDB or any of their digital partners when scheming this book set and unless we hear positive news by Friday my guess is it's sort of a "eh, your people can have MMM when we unbundle it next quarter, or the quarter after, we're really not sure you know." I don't think it's a good look for WotC, but I think they're thinking sales of the boxed set might be a flex for their report to Hasbro corporate to maintain "golden goose" status in the investor calls. But I'm having a cynical morning.

Do Duergar have an ability called Psionic Fortitude here on DnDBeyond. I have Duergar via a physical copy of SCAG, and I am unaware of any other printings of the subrace.
The question is in reference to this:
We bestow you with Dwarven Resilience for the first Monday of 2022.
Duergar get both Dwarven Resilience AND Psionic Fortitude. Lucky them: http://spr.ly/6189JaMVz

They do not. Looks like an erratum. Edit: I presume it's a rename of Duergar Resilience though, rather than an extra quality they'd pick up.

Well then. Here's hoping that we see mostly good updates and few to no bad ones.
Crossing my fingers and hoping we hear something tomorrow!
lmao, we MIGHT have heard something during the dev update that was told to us on Tuesday it was happening on Thurs, and then on Thurs it was cancelled via tweet.
