THAC0 means "To-Hit Armor Class 0", and depending on who you ask, it was either pronounced "thack-oh" or "thay-ko". When a -5 was amazing and an insult was asking, "What alignment are you again?"
Is there any option (or plans for such) where DDB would be able (with the cooperation of WotC) to offer a discounted hardcopy edition of books purchased through the site? I'd be more likely to make a digital purchase if I also received a tangible (and irrevocable) copy of the material. I mean, this site is great, but life happens and I'd be more comfortable in the knowledge that, if DDB disappeared or was unavailable for some reason after I spent a sum of money purchasing the resources, I'd still have those resources in physical form.

I seriously doubt this will ever happen. The whys and wherefores get us into debating the pricing structure territory, which I’ve asked not to happen on this thread. So, if you want more discussion of why that is, I’d encourage you to start a new thread.

Not a problem. It was just one of those random thoughts as I was looking at the available products as one who is new to D&D and interested in learning more about the setting and rules. I may start a new thread, but knowing that this is unlikely puts further discussion fairly low on the priority chain. Thank you for your reply.
Why isnt there a way to transfer physical copies into digital ones. I bought the books, i want to be able to use them on her, i'm not buying twice. It's just cheap/

No, and it won't happen. WotC and DDB are two totally separate companies. There are dozens of threads detailing the whys.
I don't know if this has been previously mentioned or not but I find that people are willing to split costs when they too are getting access to the content. Especially if they are long term friends and you plan to play D&D for a long time. I know the reason I bought the content on here is because of the tools that make using those sources so much more than what you get from just owning the hardcopy books. i know some complain about that but you could always sell the hardcopies and with discount codes have a big offset to your total costs. Imagine if the combination of doing so meant you owned everything on DDB for like 70% off the cover price of all those hard copies, and you get all of tools to interact with all of that too. Probably even less if others share in the cost of buying the source material (just a matter of how close of friends everyone is I guess). And when it comes to subscription plan to share it all my group all chips in so it only costs each of us a few dollars a year and everyone has access to it all.
Oh I forgot the main reason I came to the thread, I was seeking info on day after thanksgiving specials to see if DDB was doing anything cool discount code etc for that.

On the most recent Developer's update, Adam/Badeye was iffy about any "black friday" sales. Codes are often posted on this thread.
I have all but two source books... bundle is 93.99
I do not have:
MM: 29.99
Tortle: 7.00 (purchased previous content was 9.99)
Why is it 93.99? Why would I ever pay that extra to save 10%... That is $57 I need to save eventually just to break even. If a book is $30 and I don't wait for other discount codes that is 19 books before I benefit...
Am I missing something?
The price of the Legendary Bundle is the full price of all the component books. If you've purchased a number of books using discount codes, then you still owe the difference saved in order to "complete" the bundle. What that buys you is the 15% discount on all purchases going forward. Note also that once you do that, the 15% disc will stack with other discounts for bigger savings.
I was talking about source book bundle. I should have clarified. It's pretty dumb that I bought source books with codes but now to get the bundle I need to pay full price of the books. As stated with how I purchased it would never be worth it to get the bundle for the extra cost as there will never be that many source books released. Weird business model.
Are you sure the two titles listed are the only ones you don't have yet? I'm currently looking at a bundle price of $131. If I add up the 5 titles I don't have, they individually come up to $118. So the premium to get the discount on future items is only $13.
I'm pretty sure the use of discount codes for previous purchases does not have an impact. Once you have a title, regardless of the price you paid for it, that item is not included in the bundle pricing need to complete a bundle purchase. Any content that you previously unlocked is pulled out.
The way the bundles work is that whatever you actually pay for content within a bundle is credited against the cost of the bundle. This is true whether it is a bundle within a source—like the spells bundle in Xanathar’s—or a bundle of sources—like the sourcebook bundle. So, for example, if I bought Xanathar’s for $19.99 during the Cyber Monday sale, the cost of the sourcebook bundle would be reduced by $19.99, not by the list price of Xanathar’s on a “normal” day. The same thing is true if I used a coupon code to get 25% off the purchase of Volos: only the amount I actually paid for Volo’s would affect the price of the bundle. This means that savvy buyers who are willing/able to be patient can—over time—purchase all the sources in a bundle (whether Sourcebook, Adventures or Legendary) for less than the cost of the bundles themselves. The only thing such buyers miss out on is the discount on future purchases. But that discount is less than the discounts available during sales or from discount/coupon codes. So a patient, savvy buyer can continue to pick up sources (books) where there are sales or coupons, and still be ahead in terms of the money they have spent.
I think the whole point of the bundles is for people to jump in with a lot or all the content at a discount and get future discounts as a perk for having jumped in with so much stuff at once. But anyone patient enough to get deals on everything within the bundle and save even more money I wouldn't think the bundles discount wouldn't be of much significance. Other than my initial purchase of the legendary bundle there hasn't been a lot of new content available to buy and the few things that I did get I believe the coupon code was a greater savings than the discount for having gotten the bundle. I do wonder if I had not gotten the bundle and been more patient though could I have saved even more.
I don't have the ebberon book but I want to bring an artificer to my next game. If i purchase the three subclasses for 2.99 does that unlock the main class? or do i have just the subclasses but none of the main classes tables or spell list?

Supposedly, the 15% discount from the legendary bundle stacks on other discounts. So, you'd still get 15% off plus the discount per book. At least, a lot of people mentioned that during the Cyber Monday sale.
Would be epic if they had perks like that for subscription. Subscrption only animation perks.

Does the subscription renew every 30 days or on the same day each month?
I love the sharing option. What a great idea.
