There's a lot to wade through here and my google-fu deserts me.
If I (as DM) buy the PHB, will my players get access to the Subclasses? At which tier of subscription?
With the 'Master Tier' subscription, a 'Sharing enabled' toggle allows all players in a campaign can share the content purchased by all others in said campaign.
So I have several books for 5e, will there be a future where we can scan the barcode or type something into a place. Where it will Copy the Physical copy and make it into a digital copy as well. So that we don't have to buy the whole book again?

No. See this thread. Please don't continue the discussion about physical/digital books in this thread (i.e. the Buyer's Guide), as it falls under debating the pricing model, which I have specifically requested not happen here.
As a minor suggestion, I think it would also be nice to remind and encourage people in the OP to make purchases directly on D&D Beyond's own website right here rather than through the app store or whatever other middleman. There are some complaints and confusion about discounts and sales in the main page article about the current sale and an app thread in the app feedback forum. There is a PSA thread in the general feedback forum, but I think it is a good idea to make the PSA a bit more permanent by incorporating it into here.
Purchasing directly from Beyond's Marketplace not only ensures Beyond get as much revenue as possible (through the app, Google or Apple gets a cut of the sale, and honestly, those two do not need our financial support as much as Beyond does), it also ensures that whatever discounts and sales Beyond is promoting is almost guaranteed to work on this website, because it is their own storefront that they directly manage.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm too tired tonight to figure out good wording, but If I haven't added something along those lines in the next week or so, feel free to send me a PM to remind me.
Sorry if this is covered somewhere in one of the 23 pages of comments...
Have group of 3 and 2 of us trade off DMing duties from time to time. With one of us maintaining a Master Tier subscription, can we share content amongst all 3 of us in DM1's campaign and DM2's campaign? Asked differently, does the DM/campaign owner have to have the Master Tier subscription or is it anyone in the group?

It is mentioned in the very first post, but I can understand why you didn’t find it, as it is a bit buried. No, the DM/campaign owner does not have to be the one with the Master Tier sub. Anyone in the campaign with a master sub can turn on content sharing.
Thank you. I did see the pieces about just one member needing to have the Master Tier, but couldn't find anywhere that called out a two DM scenario. Wanted to be sure before spending money. :)

Right. Whoever has the Master sub can turn on content sharing for multiple campaigns (currently up to 5), even if they are not the DM/Campaign owner. So as long as that person is IN the campaign, they can turn it for everyone's benefit.
I'm sorry if I skimmed past it but is there a listing of the cheapest way to add all options to the Character Builder if we already have the physical books for reference but want a fully featured character builder? Maybe a bundle package for this purpose? I'm willing to spend money but I don't need digital copies of the books or any adventure packs that don't include CB options. I also don't want to miss out on options I might overlook accidently.

Not for "all options". The character sheet options for each book are bundled into their types, if you wanted, for example, to buy all races from the book, or all the feats, or the subclasses, etc. This is 'book by book', however.

So I pretty much would have to open each book and buy the content a la carte?
DDB might consider a bundle for this use case, maybe even advertise it on the CB page so that people know how to add that content there. I can't be the only one who just wants to have a fully featured character builder ;-)

If you don't want the compendium content, yes. If you want the compendium (the text of the books) as well, you can buy the entire book. Note that within each book, a given type of character content is bundled, so you can. for example, purchase the PHB spell bundle for much less than the cost of buying all the spells individually. In the case of the PHB, I believe purchasing all the bundles is almost the same cost as purchasing the entire book, so that might be simplest in that case, even if you don't want the compendium.
There have been requests for cross-book bundles of character options, where once could purchases, for example, all the subclasses currently available in all of the official books. It's been a long time since staff responded to such a request in an venue where I saw the response (I'm not on twitter and don't really follow the discord). But the last time I did hear a staff person reply to a related question, they indicated that only a very small percentage of DDB users purchase a la carte: far fewer than they anticipated doing so. So there isn't much incentive for them to expand bundles of a la carte items.
If by CB, you mean the Character builder, there are already notes there to check out the marketplace if there are options you'd like to use that you don't see.
Depends on what you want?" I started out with the core books. Then I got a Volo's and Mordenkainen for the monster. Then I decided I wanted Xanathar and Tasha for that bit of extra. At that point, I finished off the player's bundle for about $10 and got sword coast for the giggles. I also got princess of the apocalypse for the monsters but don't care for pre-generated stories. Yet all I needed was the core three.
So if you're a player the fastest and cheapest way to play is to find a DM like me who already has the books. If your DM went cheap and only got the core books but you want to play something outside of the core books buy piecemeal for what you want. If you're really planning on keeping your DM give them money so they can buy it for the group. A big tip is to wait for sales. As a DM I would recommend the core books and take a good look at the player's bundle. The question is do you want that information to fuel your game? if not you might not need it.
Another tip on how you pay for the bundle is to make a deal with your players. You bring the pizza and snacks and I will provide the books. Even if you run a game night once a week over a year with a $20 snack budget each week they will have put up $1,040 into your game in one year. I know my group spends more than $20 a week on food and snacks. You can make a profit even with a monthly subscription to D&D beyond.
Again a big tip is to wait for sales.

I apologize if this had already been asked here, but I currently own three source books but am interested in purchasing a bundle. Am I able to get a refund on the books I currently own or is the price for the bundle already discounted?
