This is something I'm not entirely sure if it belongs here since the opening message states that messages about pricing structure aren't allowed. Here goes anyway: I really want to buy a subscription, but I can't use any of the payment methods, because I don't have a credit card with the same numbering structure as the ones necessary on this site. Is there any other way of getting a subscription? (Preferably one that doesn't involve other people, such as gift cards)

Make a paypal account. Use that.

I switched to PayPal and linked that to my bank account. Prior to that I had my debit card attached and it suddenly stopped working necessitating the switch to PayPal. Payment has been without a hitch since then.
i am trying to use the homebrew tools for a paladin subclass (Oath of Conquest from XgtE) and it isnt showing up as an option for my characters. is there a way to fix this?

This would really be better as it’s own post. Do you have homebrew turned on for the character?
.... while I enjoy the Character Builder, and the searchable nature of the rules on Beyond .... what I also wantis a PDF copy of the books, in the exact same layout/presentation as the "dead tree edition" of those books, that I can download to my PC or Laptop and read at my leisure, even while offline.
It's extremely irritating that this isn't an option.
I get that, but it’s something you will have to take up with Wizards of the Coast, as it is their call.
Or I can try and poke at BOTH ends of the chain. Beyond, if they have enough customer feedback, might decide to push WOTC for something along those lines, too. :)
Even if I had to go online, and read it on the Beyond website. I'd still prefer, for readability, a PDF-like presentation, rather than what we have now. :)
I so hope they never go with that. The site's current format is a massive improvement on the readability and navigation of books.
Clearer font against better background making text easier to read.
The text is in the standard left-to-right - top-to-bottom style rather than as two colums broken / interrupted by images. This drastically improves flow and means no having to scroll through a page twice.
The contents of the page can be easily navigated using the side-menu which also includes a link back to the table-of-contents, making navigation to where you want much easier.
More info on a single page so you flow is interrupted less by having to go to next pages.
The lack of an image for a background and digital text, as opposed to an image, means you can use your browser's features to easily adjust the screen for your best reading preferences.
The simpler style and presentation makes it easier for screen-reading software for those with visual impairments.
The two biggest draws for why I use D&D Beyond over getting physical books is because it's more convenient and because it's a vastly superior reading experience in every possible way. This won't discount a personal preference for the physical book's (or PDF layout). You can prefer what you want. But the site is easier to read, involves less eyestrain, is more convenient and much more accessible. So I really hope they never, ever, go with your suggestion of a pdf or pdf layout.

I wonder if our differences in comfort, are due to my having grown up with physical books? Maybe you're just young enough, still, that reading things on a computer screen feels more "natural" for you?
It's not.
I grew up with physical books too. Including early editions of D&D. I had the first edition too. Never got to play it, my first game was 3.5, but I had 1st edition which was this reprinted booklet I got from a relative.
Given that you don't know who I am or what my age is, and given that even today kids are reading books still, I'd caution against making assumptions.

If you (_Pax_) want to pursue this idea further, I would ask that you create a different thread for that conversation. This thread is intended to help those thinking about purchasing content here, specifically helping them think about what they do and don't need given their budget and how they want to use the site. As the OP, I would very much like to keep the thread focused on that, and not have it derailed by other issues.
So my friend has the master tier, and I have the hero tier. I know I can access what she has digitally bought (assuming we are in a campaign together).
But my question is - can she access what I have digitally bought? If I buy a book with extra subclasses, spells, etc. - will she have access to that (again assuming we are in a campaign together)?

When in a campaign if anyone in that campaign has a Master Tier subscription they can enable Content Sharing.
When Content Sharing is enabled everything unlocked by anyone in that campaign is shared with everyone else.

i am considering buying a published adventure, but i would like a few questions answered to deiced if and what one i'm getting.
1. can published adventures be easily scaled for higher level characters?
2. how fun/good are the published adventured from 1 to 10. (obviously personal opinion, but i dont really know if there kinda cool, or like the most awesome adventure possible.)
3. what would you say are some of the best ones other than rise of tiamat, because i already am going to play that with a different group? preferably not anything with a demon as the final boss, because my players have already faced a demon as a "final" boss.
wanted to ask something. as i am sure all of you are aware, there are some things in sourcebooks (spells, magic items, etc...) that exist in more than one sourcebook. for example xanathar's guide has a lot of stuff from a bunch of other sourcebooks. these items will be marked as purchased/unbuyable in all sourcebooks in which they are found after purchasing them in any one sourcebook. however no discount will be applied to the other sourcebooks, only the one you bought from directly. so as a personal example i have purchased the entirety of the DM guide, Eberron:RFTLW, one grung above, and the sword coast AG as well as the class bundle from XGTE. As a result of this i already own most of the items in the sourcebook wayfarer's guide to Eberron yet i still have to pay full price to get the rest of the content as if i had not purchased anything from it. so i just wanted to ask why this is the case?

Your questions will likely reach a greater audience--and thus get you more replies-if you post them as their own thread.
1) I've not run most of the published adventures, but I didn't find it all that hard to adjust Tomb of Annihilation for characters who started at level 5 instead of level 1
3). Lost Mines of Phandelver is excellent. I had mixed experiences with Tomb of Annihilation: some things I liked, some I didn't. Curse of Strahd is often named as an excellent adventure; I don't like gothic horror (or any kind of horror), so I have never read or run it.

This is dangerously close to "arguing about the pricing model," which I have asked not to happen on this thread. If you want to have much discussion of this, I would encourage you to create a new thread with the question. Since I don't work for DDB, I can't tell you why it is this way, as I don't know. What I can say--although I think you know this already--is that you can just buy the elements from Wayfarer's guide that you don't yet have, or just the compendium if you want the lore. Although, truthfully, in the case of Wayfarer's, most the the lore is the same as in Rising, so there's really not much point in purchasing the compendium if you have Rising already.
