On an annual master membership that's not due again til August. I have submitted my cancellation, and I have the time required to transition my players to something else if it comes to that. I hope the message I left in my cancellation will give them pause for reconsideration as I prefer to offer a carrot, along with using the stick. As a customer I represent their highest tier of membership, along with owning just about every book on dndbeyond they offer. (think I've skipped the Rick and Morty adventure and that's about it). So I'm about as big a whale as they have on this site, and I'm fully ready to swim to warmer seas.
My cancellation message:
I will re-up my subscription when WotC decides to leave OGL 1.0 in place with ZERO alterations. I am already beginning discussions with my players on whether or not we should switch systems, and I will be suspending any further purchases of any new source books until WotC apologizes and announces they will not be pursuing ANY updates to the OGL.
I unsubscribed and in the spirit of voting with my dollar I am planning on never buying anything from WOTC or Hasbro again. I have even cancelled all of my pre-orders for new books. Everything I need to have fun with my friends via tabletop has already been acquired. Kinda looks like the biggest obstacles to acquiring more money is not us, but themselves.
Thank all of you who have voted for adding to this valuable metric.
agree that it is a great response. It is a shame that we can’t see the numbers behind the percentages. Percentages without the numbers for context are not as helpful a metric (obv, a limitation of the forum and not your fault). Again, agree that is great to see people taking action. I’ve unsubbed and voted myself.

Just so you're aware, if you hold your mouse over the bars on the poll, you can see how many people out of the total number voted. Right now about 940 people voted on the poll.

I was into DnD for over 20 years. I have bought every single product on DDB and I have all german translated source books. Spell cads, monster cards. All the thngs. Right until the leak I made a successfull DnD Podcast with 171 episodes published, having hundreds of listeners everyday. I bought all dnd Magic the Gathering sets, physically and digitally. Baldur’s Gate 3, a nobrainer. I bought it on both stadia and steam. I bought all those crappy dnd movies and loved them. I guess I am a big fan. DnD means so much to me. It was a big part of my life. I unsubscribed today and was buying my last DnD product without even knowing it.
I think 3rd party creators giving 5-10% of PROFITS (not revenue) would be fair. If they would have went for that after a $1,000,000 in profits at jump i don't think anybody would have had a problem. But they tried to go for 25% of Revenue.
Unsubscribed my master tier subscription as well, since my campaign is winding down next month and I am taking a break from the DM’s chair. I considered keeping it for a bit, but then OGL 1.1 was released and I decided to nope out
Do we have numbers on the poll? I see % of respondants, but total number is necessary to get a full view of this.
If you are on the computer, you can hover the mouse over any of the bars and it will tell you the full number of votes. On mobile, you can't see that as far as I can tell. I'll try to add the numbers if I do a current running while at my desktop.
Did I miss something? Is dnd 3rd party content ripe with racist content from head to toe. ~S
No one and I mean no one has ever thought that 3rd party content is an issue here. Wizards has always had the ability to fight against harmful content and dont let them trick you otherwise. The only perpetrator of harmful content that has been newsworthy has been wizards themselves. Don't let them gaslight you into forgetting that they just tried stealing 25% of all earnings from large 3rd party creators under our noses in secret. This was a heist bigger than waterdeep by a villain more evil than the cassalanters. Wizards tried stealing from the community. Don't get it twisted.

Hello! Hi! This thread isn't a place to debate the GSL, attempt to sway others, or so on. This is a place to gather data for a visible small-scale metric and maybe comment on what you voted personally. Any debates or rage can be taken to any of the other countless threads on the GSL. Thank you, and happy gaming!

Heya! Please take general discussion of the GSL to another thread, as there are dozens available. This one is for gathering impartial data as a small-scale metric. Thank you for understanding.
As of this time, there are 1072 votes. Of those votes, the metrics are:
A combined 72.4% have unsubscribed from the service. 20.8% are still on the fence or waiting for further clarification/information from official channels. 6.7% will not be unsubscribing from the service regardless of outcome.
Thank you everyone who has voted so far for adding to this valuable metric. I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to do so.
I will sit back and wait to see what happens before I consider my course of action I am not jumping ship and unsubscribing. Also I am still going to go see the movie because this genre of movies needs to be made
I announced to my group (as I run a Westmarches campaign) download your sheets. After 7pm (GMT) on the 13th of January I am deleting my subscription to Dndbeyond. I also supplied a ******* link as a 'here is where you can get information from.'

Unsubbed, but still on free for a running campaign.
Wonder how many they lost in total, I myself am kinda excited, relatively new to tabletop RPGs and only played DnD.
Been talking to a few friends and we are trying with to look for new options.
Pathfinder 2e sounds cool, and would you to run/play call of cthulhu.
Happy gaming everyone!
Cancelled my Master Tier back in August after the Spelljammer debacle.

Looking into Savage Worlds and Numenera atm.
